Tamil is also known for mass films , maybe you just forgot to mention . one of the most popular genres in Tamil cinema 😊 Actors like Rajinikanth, Vijay, and directors like Lokesh, Shankar etc are here.. need I say more 😅

I asked this question once, why it seemed like the choreography was better in the South. And was told it was a lot to do with the type of music/cultural style of songs (I'm not getting the right words there) in the industries. For example Tamil has kuthu (I always forget is that a kind of song or a kind of dance?) and Bollywood has a lot of Punjabi Bangra style music and songs in the films. It just lends itself to different kinds of choreography. Telugu films especially use the songs to introduce the hero so that is when you see the hero dancing with a lot of usually male dancers in the back ground. Both the Holi song from Rakhi and the Nairey Nairey song from Andhrawala that you reacted to of Jr NTR are hero introduction songs.

The difference in choreography between Hindi and Telugu songs is one of the reasons I am hoping that YRF hires some South choreographers for War 2. Would love to see Hrithik and Tarak do a dance battle, but IMO would be better if it was Prem Rakshit or Jani Master or Prabhudeva than say Ganesh Acharya, Vaibavi Merchant and Remo D'Souza. (All of whom are great choreographers, but its just different in the South)
