One of the joys of an upcoming SRK movie was that we got lots of great interviews..Shah Rukh once joked that he would get 5 stars for his interviews atleast if not for his movies 😂😂 Unfortunately, it's been more than 3 years since he has last given an interview...the speculation is that he was hurt with the way the media unjustly vilified his son and family and doesn't want to give them his time. They did just one event after the release of Pathaan to celebrate its success but they had a moderator and film/entertainment journalists weren't allowed to ask any questions directly...he also stopped doing his yearly Eid media interaction for the last couple of years which had been like a ritual for many years.

I wish he would at least do an interview with Anupama Chopra from FC as they have great camaraderie and have been doing interviews together for years now. She’s a great interviewer and doesn’t ask stupid questions like the usual indian media. Even Baradwaj Rangan is a great choice.

Some of it seems also a promotional strategy - not to overexpose a star to draw people to the theathre and watch the film. Was very effective for Pathaan after SRK's longer break.

Agree it helped with Pathaan in increasing the anticipation but don't think the reason was for promoting the movie...He has had 'zero' direct interaction with the media (print or video) since 2020 including at the Pathaan post-release success meet when the whole point of such events for Indian movies is to interact with journalists.

Yep I hope that happens but seems like wishful thinking at this point since he wouldn't be able to come on just 1 or 2 platforms and say no to everyone else...it's easier this way to keep the peace and avoid directly offending some media houses but express his disappointment silently.
