This is out of the Geforce DevForums regarding the IRAY support for Pascal Cards:

It took us longer than expected. But Iray itself has the support.
We need to release a version of the Iray SDK and then integrate it into the plugins.

I totally understand that you are keen to use your newest hardware but I need to ask for your patience here. And for your understanding that even if we work for the same company we need time to adapt the software part to the new hardware and drivers. We want to deliver plugins that are well tested.

Again, sorry for letting you wait

So unfortunately, I'll have to keep rendering along at my current pace for a little while longer. I will get as much of Kelly done by August 10th as I can. After August 10th, I'll work on creating a Public Build for 0.08.  As a side note. 0.08 is coming along smoothly :) There is even potential of me finishing of Kelly all together. No promises though :o

That's a pity, hope it doesn't take too much longer. I wonder what they're using that prevents them from supporting Pascal cards. DirectX, OpenGL, CUDA and OpenCL should all work the same unless there's some *serious* driver issues that I'm not aware of. Vulcan might yield substantial speedups, but that doesn't seem like something you would gate your initial release on. Are they using something custom and super low level? Weird.

Alright, maybe CUDA is more fiddly than I thought. I'll have to take their word for it!

sad but expected.
