Hi guys,

Some content to entertain you until the end of my break! Here's one of the Bestiary entries I intended to publish a few weeks ago, until the art was delayed: the emperor of Paris Pluto/Benjamin Leroy, with art done by Dinovoila (I think he nailed the eyes; zoom on them if you want to see the madness in them)!

- Apocalypse Tamer Bestiary Entry: Pluto, Lord of the Netherworld

Passive Perks:

  • Divine Vessel: halves all damage taken, negates instant death, protects from all ailments, and grants permanent [Float] status. Additionally, the user can act as a ‘deity’ for the purpose of Priest and similar classes.
  • God-Field: Ditis Pater: transforms the local area (one km per level radius) into a personal, advantageous field.
  • Undead Crown: Pluto immediately inflicts [Charm] on all [Undead] Types within fifty meters of himself unless they possess a higher level, higher Charisma, the boss status, or immunity to the [Charm] ailment. If the ailment is lifted on a [Undead] Type affected by it, they become immune to [Undead Crown] for 24 hours. This effect immediately applies to all creatures raised by [God-Field: Ditis Pater], no matter the distance.
  • Shadowform: Pluto can switch at will into his normal, physical form and one of made of shadows. In his shadowform, Pluto is [Intangible] and thus immune to [Physical] attacks; he can also teleport at will at one point within his line of sight. However, maintaining [Shadowform] costs 10 SP per minute to maintain.
  • Moderator: as one of the Trimurti System’s key architects, Pluto has limited influence over the Neurotowers influencing it. This power allows him to disable, or even destroy, Neurotowers that haven’t been claimed by a Guild or Faction. Claimed Neurotowers are immune to his influence.
  • Demiurge: Pluto can enchant paintings to turn them into gateway pocket dimensions. These pocket dimensions act as mini-dungeons linked to a Neurotower; however, their continued existence depends on Pluto’s power. Sending him into critical health or killing him destroys all his pocket dimensions.
  • Unbalanced Mind: due to mental instability and intense guilt over his daughter’s demise, Pluto can suffer from intense bouts of [Madness] ailments if exposed to sufficient stress; this effect bypasses his Ailment immunity. This Perk might weaken with therapy, but will never fully go away.
  • Devil’s Arms: Pluto gains advanced proficiency with claws and bident weapons (x2 damage, +10 Crit). He can extend his arms at will.

Active Perks:

  • Sin: Sloth: [Soul], [Mythic], 50 SP per target. While in Shadowform, Pluto can trap a number of targets in one of his pocket painting dimensions (see Demiurge). The Perk sends the target into the world closest to their heart’s desire. This is a [Teleportation] effect.
  • Psychompos: [Support], [Mythic], 100 SP. Summons the retinue of Pluto: Undead, Cerberi, and maddened spirits. The number of allies spawned by this ability is left to random chance.
  • Shadow Ball: [Darkness], 50 SP. Summons a sphere of darkness projectile (base damage 80 [Darkness] damage).
  • Phlegethon Flame: [Fire], [Earth], 60 SP. Summons a rain of small meteors on a radius centered around Pluto (base power 80, half [Fire] half [Earth]).
  • Dark Calling (Pluto): [Soul], [Earth], 50 SP. An empowered version of the necromancy spell unique to Pluto. Summons a hand from the ground (it must be earth) to crush a foe (base damage 80 [Earth]). If successfully grabbed, the target has 30% chance of suffering from the [Paralysis] ailment.
  • Thanatos Ray: [Soul], 120 SP. Unleashes a powerful magical ray of dark energy at the target (base power 100 per eye beam, [Soul] damage; ignores Vitality). A successful hit has a 30% chance of inflicting [Insta-Death] and killing the target outright.
  • Night Reign: [Darkness], 50 SP. Summons a swarm of bats at a target (base damage 70, [Darkness] damage). The bats can also be used defensively; in which case they will assemble in a bulwark to intercept attacks.
  • Hecate’s Disruption: [Mythic], [Support], 120 SP. Unleashes a wave of energy removing all of a target’s magical buffs. Permanent effects from equipments aren’t affected.
