Hi everyone, the poll's results are in.

Gunsoul ends up in the lead by a narrow four votes (out of over 130).

It was, by far, the most closely contested poll in my Patreon's history. The two options were literally one vote apart yesterday; truthfully, I even started writing chapters for both on my free-time to avoid being taken by surprise by a last minute victory from one or the other.

Though Gunsoul has a slight edge, a lot of you clearly prefer Dungeon Wreckers; as seen in its comments and the closely contested poll.

That puts me in something of a pickle. It's easy to focus on one story when it gets 70% of the votes over its competition, but when you can count the vote difference on one hand? This has never happened before.

So... I'm currently reassessing my options.

The good thing is that since I'm not posting on RR yet (and probably won't until I have a large backlog anyway) I'm not yet forced to stick to a tight schedule yet and thus can afford trying new stuff.

The other thing is that I always intended for both stories to be split into smaller chapters compared to CE and B&F; as in, write bulks of 1000-2000s words small chapters that I can post daily once it finally hits RR. I feel that this kind of update is more adapted to RR's current landscape and more comedy-focused stories.

Most importantly, this system also offers more flexibility than writing large 6K words chapters. Part of why I never managed to squeeze a Stars of Sirius update in between CE and B&F is that writing multiple large chapters takes a lot of time. Having shorter chapters for DW and Gunsoul will make it easier to pivot between them.

So... I think that while I will be favoring Gunsoul (since it did win the poll), I will also post some Dungeon Wreckers chapters on the side when I have time/inspiration to do so. Both were meant to be shorter stories, so I believe I can give the exercise a try; if I can't manage it in the long-term, I'll focus on finishing the Gunsoul volume first and then move on to Dungeon Wreckers

In any case, I'll start publishing the small chapters I've already written for both stories in the coming week. B&F large chapters updates will otherwise continue as normal on Saturday.

- Holidays Break in May

Finally, I will be taking a break in May from May 8th to the 22th

The reason is simple: I'm going to hit thirty on May 8th (yeah, wrinkles!) and a few of my childhood friends are reaching that age too, so we're planning a big group trip to Japan during those weeks to celebrate that milestone (something which was on our to-do list since forever).

As you can expect, between the flights and events, I likely won't be able to post during that time, though I might manage to sneak in a chapter if I can. Just giving you a bit of a warning.

- Vainqueur Paperback in Development

After some thinking, I have decided to fulfill a long-time demand for Vainqueur readers now that the story will soon hit KU: make a print-on-demand paperback version available on Amazon.

However, the Amazon cover creator is proving... shall we say, buggy.

I had hoped to have the paperback edition ready for the Audible release on the 19th, but it might take until the KU release in April for it to hit the shelves. I also intend to do a paperback for the Perfect Run somewhen after, but Vainqueur takes priority in the short term.

- Perfect Run game news

On the gaming front, I'm happy to announce that we've most completed the gameplay and level design of the game's demo, which focuses on the second floor of the Meta-Gang's bunker; this 'test run' will have Ryan raiding the level, avoid traps, try to neutralize Psyshock without killing his brainwashed thralls, and finally lead to a battle with Frank. All while trying not to die too often.

- In-game view of the bunker's map from outside.

Now that the level, enemies, and main gameplay is done, the team is finally starting to work on the art and texture assets, so I'll be able to send you some visual screenshots in the near-future.

Here are the first concept art pictures of Ryan (which I already posted on the discord a while ago); Frank and Psyshock will be the next to get their design, since they'll be the demo's bosses.

Classy, is he not?

And that's all for now. I thank you all for participating in the poll and casting your vote, and I shall see you next week for more chapters.

Best regards,

Voidy.

I strongly prefer Gunsoul, I think we're the silent majority.
