Santa Lucia Build 44 (Gallery Version) - August 2023 (Patreon)

Hey everyone.

This month we wrap back to the beginning of Act 3 to start progressing Carlos’s route. It always takes me a bit to get in the headspace to write another character when switching between routes, so I may have wrote less than I would have liked this time.

On the other hand, I saw a prime opportunity to reintroduce a cut character from back when Santa Lucia was still in the planning phase. There’s a lot I can say about our new otter friend, but I’ll keep it brief so I don’t leave any expectations on him that won’t be fulfilled. I’m extremely pleased with how he turned out, and though he’s not likely to have as big of an impact on the narrative anymore I do like the idea that even characters that didn’t make the final cut for the cast originally can still find a place somewhere in USL.
