How do you exit passenger? I keep getting locked into First Person view. I tried clicking the exit possess button and nothing happened.

You probably switched to another person's PoV while you were already in PoV. So like if you switch to invader while you are already in PoV, it'll reverse you back to previous PoV. So you kinda have to disable both PoVs. Sorry, I am not sure how to tell you this :D

Let's say you pressed F4 and switched to male PoV and then you pressed F2 and switched to Invader. If you disable Invader PoV, you'll be send back to Male PoV. Which means you also need to press F4 to disable male PoV.

If this doesn't work at all, you can select the person, go to plugins, find the Passenger plugin and disable it from there.

As another solution, you can reset the scene and use Skip To Extended button. It resets the PoVs.

It doesn't work for me. nothing happens after the initial conversation,and if i try to skip to extended, the room just goes dark and nothing happens

Make sure you have enabled the plugins from VaM settings & gave permissions to the plugins used by my scene. Also, update your Acidbubbles Timeline plugin and remove it's old version. You can also try repairing your VaM or re-downloading the scene.

No problem. Make sure to delete all the old versions, as I said the highest number is the most recent version so leave it alone and delete the rest.
