You can say "mail carrier" to refer to the person who delivers your mail As someone who used to be one, I can say that the person who delivers your mail isn't always the same. You have the person who does it full-time, but then they have a part-timer do it once a week. JPC should be able to get his post office to pass that note onto his mail carrier, but it doesn't guarantee that they'll remember (I had 400 houses on my route and would have quickly forgotten this request). The problem is that so many people will leave mail in their mailbox for several days, so it's normal to see mail still in there. I would think having it stick out of the slot a little would be an obvious indication that you want them to take it though 🤔
