Maxine’s Fundraiser Preview (Patreon)

Hey guys,

As I discussed in the last development update, the sponsored outfit’s option won Maxine’s Fundraiser poll and that is what I’ve been working on for the last couple of weeks. Here is a quick reminder of what that poll option said:

“Allowing the students to wear unusual clothing to school is a very common way to raise money for charity. However, this usually means the girls themselves bring in donations to be allowed to participate. Since we are the ones providing donations, instead we can offer to sponsor girls to wear an outfit of our choosing. Maxine says she is willing to put her pride as a feminist aside to save an endangered animal. Perhaps we should put that claim to the test by sponsoring her (plus whatever friends she can convince to join her) to wear a series of outfits to school, each more humiliating than the last. Ultimately, for the naked mole rat, there can be only one "outfit" that really encapsulates the essence of this creature. One might also say that a defining feature of the animal is its lack of any body hair. In a show of solidarity with these unfortunate creatures, we would expect the participating girls to be cleanly shaven. For a sufficiently large donation, how could they refuse?”

When I had the idea for this poll, my plan was to release a photo set to the Teacher and Deputy Head tiers, then I would include the full dialogue in the next update. Similar to Ada’s photos of the twins in version 0.13. However, as I came to write this storyline it evolved into something much more complicated than I initially intended. A simple photoset would no longer be sufficient to summarise the storyline and if I released the images now it would ruin a lot of the fun surprises. Therefore, I am just going to give a little teaser for now and the full storyline (with hundreds of images and around 15K words of dialogue) will be included in the next update instead. So below is Mr Mykock’s reply to Maxine and the preview images are in the attached gallery. I’ve focused on Maxine in the previews in order to not give away too much of what happens, however, the actual storyline features nearly all the students.

Dear Maxine,

As the representative of the school's owners, I would like to thank you for bringing to our attention the plight of the naked mole rat. Saving these truly unique and wonderful creatures is a worthy cause indeed.

In regard to your request for charitable donations, I should make clear to you that the school is not owned by an individual company, rather we are a loose conglomerate of forward-thinking and like-minded philanthropists. Our group was founded in order to tackle the disciplinary crisis in young adults and to reform our failing education system. However, our esteemed members have been known to donate generously to a wide variety of charities. As such, they are inundated on a daily basis with similar requests. In order to access their considerable resources, you will need to convince them to donate to your cause ahead of numerous others competing for their attention. The fact that you have offered to let us decide the nature of your fundraising efforts has placed you at a significant advantage in that regard and we salute your initiative.

In order for a person or group to prove their dedication to a cause, it is traditional for them to challenge themselves by doing something outside of their usual comfort zone. We notice in your message that you refer to yourself as the student president, a position of respect for which you appear to take great pride. You also described yourself as a proud feminist and that you find the school's perfectly reasonable uniform policies to be somehow demeaning. For these reasons we have inferred that you hold yourself in considerably high regard and that you will find it difficult to undertake tasks that challenge your sense of pride and need for respect. Therefore, we are offering to sponsor you to wear a series of risque outfits to school, outfits which you may find embarrassing. Seeing such a proud and respectable young lady willing to sacrifice her dignity will no doubt stir powerful feelings within our members, raising up their spirits and hardening their resolve to help your worthy cause.

We suggest that this fundraiser take place over a week-long period, with the possibility of extending it beyond the week if there is continued interest. We will provide you with a different outfit each day which you may collect from the headmaster's office. You will then be informed of how much money our members have collectively offered to see you wearing it. If you decide to accept the offer, you will need to wear everything that you are provided with and strictly nothing else from the start to the end of the school day. Some additional instructions will also be provided with each outfit. Failure to follow these instructions will mean your donations may be forfeited. Although we want to help save the naked mole rat we also want to ensure that you and the other girls learn the importance of following rules. I expect the headmaster to ensure our conditions are strictly enforced.

In addition to the clothing provided for you, we will also provide additional sets in a range of sizes. For each student that you convince to wear the outfit and to have their picture taken with you, we will provide bonus donations of an amount to be confirmed at the start of each day. Other girls participating in this challenge must be photographed wearing the entire outfit with nothing else.

Naturally, we will need to see evidence that each outfit has been worn continuously. If there is a girl at the school with a particular interest in photography I suggest you ask for her assistance. We will use the pictures of you and your fellow student solely to promote your cause amongst our group, in order to further increase the donations you receive as the week progresses. These photographs will not be disseminated further without your consent.

Assuming that both you and the headmaster agree to this proposal then we can provide the first outfit as soon as Monday.
