Hey guys,

Development on version 0.13 is continuing at a steady pace and the update is coming along nicely. I’ve got some exciting news to share about our team but first I want to fill you in on how the update is shaping up.

In my last post, I explained my decision to expand the scope of version 0.13  in order to upgrade Rachel’s punishment system with new animations and the red butt. I also felt the script I had written for her first sex scene wasn’t climactic enough. There's nothing worse than building up to something for a long time only for the final event to be an anti-climax. Therefore, I knew that Rachel’s first sex scene needed to be something really special. Firstly, it had to involve her punishment system so that it felt like something that was hard-earned by the player. Secondly, it needed to be both the physical and emotional climax of Rachel’s journey and mark the final resolution to her jealousy and body confidence issues. So with all that in mind, I took a little time away from the distractions of the computer to clear my head and rewrite Rachel’s script. I am pleased to report that this was time well spent and I feel that I achieved my goal of finding a satisfying resolution to her story arc.

Rachel’s envy of her teacher will come to a head next update. How will the headmaster deal with the situation?

So what happens? Well, you’ll have to wait and see of course. However, I will say that Sally is going to play a very key role and you can expect to see quite a bit of character development for her too. Rachel’s weakness has always been her jealousy of more curvy women. The headmaster initially used this to his advantage by convincing the buxom Sally to take her shirt off during Rachel's punishments in order to humiliate the girl. However, this approach was not without problems and Rachel’s envy of Sally eventually leads to further bad behaviour. The headmaster will then be faced with a conundrum. What embarrasses Rachel the most is being seen naked alongside a more curvy woman. How would he humiliate her in this exact way and also free her from that humiliation at the same time? Rachel was going to need to understand that a perfect body doesn’t necessarily mean a perfect life and that even someone like Sally can have insecurities of their own.

Alongside Rachel’s storyline, the other main aspect of version 0.13 will be the after school staff training. I still have some of this storyline to write but it's also shaping up to be a good one. Debbie and Claire are going to be learning your punishment method using Amy as a practice dummy. We’ll be running through the basics fairly quickly and then moving on to some more advanced disciplinary techniques we haven’t seen in the game before. Including the introduction of a lot more bondage. I'm hoping to include a big surprise at the end of this storyline but that's all I have to say on the matter for the moment.

There have always been lots more girls at the school than are in the headmaster’s history class.

One major thing that I plan to address in version 0.13 is the issue of other students at the school.  As I am sure you’ve all noticed there are lots of “extras” dotted around the school and you often see them in the showers, in some of the other classrooms and most recently in the girls' locker room. The two most notable examples would be Amy’s fuck-buddy Tia and the so-called “crying girl” who both appear in the image above. Now, despite being students at the school none of these girls are mentioned in the Character Log and there’s seemingly no logical reason for this. Rather than glossing over this inconsistency, I have decided to embrace it. I’ll be adding a new character page for “The Other Students”, where the headmaster will explain that he plans to focus his attention on the girls in his history class and that as he makes progress influencing his fellow teachers he expects to see these other girls being disciplined without him needing to lift a finger. With the new staff training storyline that’s exactly what’s going to happen.

Debbie will be putting her disciplinary training to good use on these two young ladies.

Once Debbie and Claire complete their training we’ll see a lot of these “extras” being punished around the school. Using random girls for these scenes instead of named characters will make things much easier for me when it comes time to write the main girls' storylines. Plus of course, it's a good excuse to see even more young women without their clothes on.

Now, about that exciting news. Back in February, I mentioned that I had a software manager who was teaching me how to delegate tasks more effectively. He taught me how to upload my code to GitHub so that multiple people could work on it simultaneously. With the collaboration perk unlocked I was finally able to have other people working on sections of the game without slowing down my own work on new content. I have been using this new ability to full advantage and I’d like to announce the addition of two new members of the team; long time patrons and two of the guys behind the French translation, Gegecucu and Kthunda. Kthunda is currently helping me overhaul parts of the game's code to make it easier to add new girls and new actions to the punishment system. Gegecucu is currently helping me set up scenes and animations, something that has always been the tightest bottleneck in terms of production speed. My software manager is also still working hard and has been updating the character logs and making numerous accessibility/visibility improvements to the UI and maps.

So for the first time ever the next update is going to contain significant portions of code and images that were not made by myself. I’ve always had to make tough decisions every update about what content to cut due to time constraints. With a bigger team, I can pass on some of this workload leading to more side stories and more mini-events for actions such as patrolling the halls or spying on the girls. We can also work towards fixing some of the little continuity errors that have crept into the game over time.

So, with Herdone, Kthunda and Gegecucu, my anonymous software manager plus my ever helpful and patient moderators on our Discord, MarioUnderground and CarterStone I now have quite the team behind me. It really feels like the production of the game has moved into a whole new phase. I don’t know if this will necessarily translate to quicker updates, however, it will definitely lead to bigger and better ones with more content and greater attention to detail. Of course, with any big change in working practices, it will take a little while before we really see the benefits of the extra manpower but over time I think this will mark a real turning point in the game's development.

So the next update is shaping up nicely and we should have it finished sometime over the summer. I am afraid I can’t be much more specific than that at the moment as there are still a few too many unknown variables. However, now that the new script is done I expect things will start to come together quite quickly and I’ll be able to set a release date soon. I’ve been back to working full time on creating images this week and I’ll be releasing another batch of image previews in the next few days.

Hoping the new update has more weekend patrol updates

Has there been some slippage on those summer dates re the additional functions? I seem to have got stuck or has the game not developed as far as hoped?

Which functions do you mean, specifically? Everything that was added in the latest version is listed in the release notes. You can also check the in-game event log what's new.
