Katie was massive. She was surrounded by her own blubber. Literally it seemed to surround every inch of the fox, from her plumped up cheeks to arms she could no longer hope to move for any amount of time. Her fingers were the thinnest part of her and Jenny could imagine that bending them was a trial. The whale of a fox was - well, sitting, Jenny supposed, in the middle of a large cushioned divot in the floor of the restaurant. The restaurant was closed for now, giving the mouse some time to attend to her charge and the bakers some time to bake, but when it was open Katie would be sitting there in the middle for all to see. Feeding her was encouraged by both Sifton Inc and almost certainly the fennec herself. Jenny stood there for a few minutes simply staring, taking all of the creature in front of her in, until a polite cough from Katie’s direction snapped her out of her revere. She started to speak, her voice sounded deep from within a throat covered in blubber.

“Hi, I’m-”

“Katie.” Jenny finished, startling herself that the word slipped out of her mouth. “Yeah, I know. I was there when you were,” there were so many words to describe what happened to Katie over those months, “signed up.” Jenny settled for that. Clearing her mind with a little shake of her head, the mouse continued, “I’m Jenny. I’ve been assigned to-” she trailed off. There were a lot of words for that, too.

“Maintenance.” Katie finished cheerfully. “I know I’m a big girl, you don’t have to tip-toe around it. If you do, we’ll be here all night.” She added with a wink.

“Right.” Here all night. That probably meant she was ready. Where to even begin? Jenny blinked and looked around the empty restaurant. There was a bucket and sponge, and at her distance Jenny could catch a faint scent from the massively obese fennec. Katie was regularly washed to keep that scent from becoming anything close to unpleasant, and that was part of why Jenny was there. She took the bucket from the room, filling it with water and a tropical smelling shampoo in the kitchens. The bakers looked at her with a strange mixture of looks, some seeming to acknowledge her stomach with a grin and others simply shaking their heads. Jenny shrugged it off as best she could and brought the bucket back to the main room.

She filled the sponge with water and, pushing all other thoughts from her head, told herself it was just like washing a car. Just like washing a car. And she would do anything for her old position. Only, sponge dripping with warm soapy water, she couldn’t bring herself to start washing Katie.

Jenny looked up at the massively obese fennec, looking for something she couldn’t put a finger on. Katie smiled back down on her reassuringly. Permission - that was what she had been looking for. A warm little glow filled the mouse and she smiled back before getting to work on the massive fox’s pelt. Her hand and the sponge sank into Katie’s blubber as she started to wash the fennec, making rippling motions across the massive fur’s body. Every part of her seemed to jiggle and wobble, her titanic stomach sloshing and gurgling noisily with the added motion as Jenny made wide circles with the sponge, as wide as she could. She looked up now and then to find Katie seemed to be enjoying herself, eyes shut and a look of pleasure across her muzzle. For some reason, although the task would take a while, Jenny thought she might be enjoying herself too.
