The RETURN of Japanese Wrestling Documentaries! (Patreon)

Hi everyone!

Last year, I found something new that I loved doing -- videos about Puroresu, or Japanese Wrestling. People seemed to love watching them too...but alas, they couldn't last, and were struck down. I had to stop doing them on YouTube alas, because it simply wasn't worth losing the whole channel over -- it is after all, my livelihood.

But of course, people have always asked about the videos -- will they ever be visible again? Will they come back? And so on...and it's not like I've forgotten about them. I think they're some of my best work, after all. I didn't exactly want to stop! And now...I'm ready to start again. But of course, YouTube's kinda off limits for them -- Japanese TV companies are too bossy when it comes to this sort of thing.

And so, I'm taking an important step. Wrestling documentaries will now be EXCLUSIVE to Patreon, through Vimeo. This does not just include the videos that I made previously, but it will include brand new videos -- I intend to make at least one of these a month, starting at the end of February with what was to be the next doc, all about the start of NOAH and the great exodus from AJPW. The process of bringing the old docs back has started -- currently I can only upload one of those to Vimeo per week, but the Mitsuharu Misawa documentary is now available there, and will be available in another post.

This is quite a big change, of course -- it's a lot more than just the off-cuts or commentaries that occasionally become available as Patreon exclusives. Because of this, I've created a new $2 tier for access to these documentaries, which is now the default bottom tier on this Patreon. Those who are on the $1 tier will still get everything they previously had of course -- early access and access to all other posts, streams, Discord etc. but I do feel that the Wrestling docs require a lil' bit more. They're going to be as good, as detailed and undoubtedly as lengthy as they previously were after all -- indeed, Vimeo's going to allow me much more freedom than I perhaps had on YouTube to do these subjects justice.

So, there you are! Hopefully I'll see you all on this journey to really do something that's awesome on this ol' Patreon. The intention now is not just to continue making awesome gaming content as I've always done -- rest assured that's not going anywhere -- but to also make some of the best videos on Japanese wrestling history too. It's another Kim Justice whim, and hopefully it's one that you'll follow!
