I didn't mean to totally disappear for awhile, so I'm really sorry about the lack of updates lately.

The TLDR: I've been trying to readjust my Work/Life balance from 90%/10% to be more equal for the sake of mine and my dogs' health but it ended up swapping to 10%/90% as I tried to adjust for how time consuming a healthier lifestyle can be at first. I've finally been making strides to balance the two so expect regular art posts to resume.

The long:
Some of yall already know that I got a new puppy almost 2 months ago, and it has ended up altering my daily life a lot more than I expected it to (It's been a decade since I last took care of a puppy lol). So most of my attention has been going toward supervising the interactions between my older dog and the puppy, making sure she doesnt chew or swallow anything she's not supposed to (yay teething phase) and also because she's needing to go out every hour or two, or else I get to play "find where she peed in the carpet" lol. I've also been making lifestyle changes to generally improve my quality of life such as cooking actual (and healthier) food every day and trying to develop a more active lifestyle by taking my dogs walking/jogging out on trails/hikes, and developing better weekly chore habits around the house so that things don't pile up and make the house feel gross.

I know these don't sound like all that much, and most people can easily do all this on top of working a 9-5 and spend time with family and whatnot but it's a major shift from what I've been used to for years, which was wake up, eat toast, and then sit on my PC from noon to midnight drawing and gaming, only taking breaks to eat quick, overly processed food or unhealthy food that I ordered.
All this to say that there's been a bit of an adjustment period while I try to manage my time between work and life, since it's been mostly all work for so long. I'm finally starting to strike that balance a bit better, actually managing to get back to drawing for more than an hour or two a day so I can make substantial progress on projects again.
I just wanted to let yall know that my lack of presence hasn't been intentional or because I didn't feel like drawing, but I just haven't had good amounts of uninterrupted time *to* draw, because I've been stumbling about trying to improve the lives of myself and my dogs (especially since my first dog is turning 10 in November and I want to make the most out of her remaining golden years)

I also have a LOTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT of messages piled up that I'll get to little by little, but I've just been craving some time to just sit and draw so give me a bit of time to get through those, if you're one of the folks that haven't heard back from me in awhile
(I am also just generally bad and intimidated with non-commission related messages lololol)

I completely understand the situation you are in. the most important thing about a person is their physical and mental health. you did very well to take time for yourself and your dogs. anyone who criticizes your way of doing things because they are used to "everything right away" does not deserve your attention. he just deserves a "goodbye to never hear from you again" by blocking him. I wish you all the best possible. think exclusively about your health and that of your dogs. the rest must remain in the background.
