Full notes: https://gunnerheatpc.com/news/articles/ghpc-20220711-patch-notes

This update brings the quality-of-life changes from the Steam Next Fest demo into the main demo builds.  It also introduces a new map (North Fields) with a set of new missions, as well as the usual array of minor upgrades and changes.

Those who attended the last patron Q&A will recall that we discussed certain new gameplay features that we wanted to add next.  While they are nearly ready, we feel that those features need a bit more time for polish, so we decided to release this small update in the meantime.  Keep an eye out for more soon!

Note: Due to some temporary issues with the version check system, if you download the update within a short time of release, the game may prompt you to update.  If you launched build 20220711 (itch version 70), you can ignore this message.

As always, you will automatically receive the build via your itch app library if you've paired an account and installed the Patreon demo through the itch app.  You can also access the download at the usual link, which does not change: https://gunnerheatpcdev.itch.io/gunner-heat-pc-patron-build/patreon-access

Never had game freeze before or sounds go mute. Happening to me often with new update. Love this game though! Appreciate all your hard work, just providing a little feedback.

GunnerHEATPC

There are a few systems in the demo that are still running quite heavy until we can do major optimization work. Unfortunately you might be RAM or CPU bottlenecked for the time being.

Looking amazing! Loving the campaign system. A question though: Will Patreon supporters get anything tangible ingame after it's released in Steam Early Access? It's alright if not, but would be interesting to know if there's anything planned in that regard.

GunnerHEATPC

There are some rewards planned for supporters, but as far as in-game items go, that's not certain yet. No system exists in the game as of right now for giving certain items only to certain players, and it's unclear whether we'll invest the time into making one in the short term.

In the new missions that came with the 0711 version, why are the enemy so aggressive? They're nowhere near as aggressive in the older missions. In almost all cases, I'm getting outright murdered, even taking killing shots through thick tree cover. (And once, I was one-shotted through a house.) The only times I can get the upper hand is if I let them pass and I approach them from behind. The T-72s are acting like they've FLIR. I thought one of the fixes in this version was the AI sniping through concealment.

GunnerHEATPC

The fix was for AI looking through grass (the short layer on top of hills etc.), but the tree stuff still needs work. For general AI aggression, I don't think there were any specific changes made recently. The new missions might just have closer ranges or better enemy positions that allow them to take more initiative.

Hi, Love the game so far. Will it in future updates be possible to assign the "dump the lead" command to a button on your joystick/hotas or other controller? Thx!

GunnerHEATPC

Hi Dirk, currently letting go of the aim button will dump lead automatically, like a palm switch in real tanks.

You can release right click for a split second to automatically dump lead, maybe that helps?
