Hello and happy holidays from the GHPC team!

We wanted to update all of you on the game's progress this month and what to expect for the next update.  As usual, we've been working hard on our next batch of features for the demo.  These include the new map (based on an 8x8 km slice of Germany in the Fulda region), the dynamic mission generator feature, and several other items we haven't specifically discussed.

The mission generator is a feature that takes a high-level "concept" of a mission and turns it into an actual playable scenario, placing units and tying mission elements together in a sensible but randomized fashion, all on its own.  It will be released as a standalone feature for patrons as we develop and improve it, and eventually it will become a core component of the campaign mode, responsible for generating unique battles in response to the strategic situation players find themselves in.  The image on this post was captured during testing of this feature in the new 8x8 map.

Unfortunately, this month's development has been hampered by unforeseen circumstances.  The lead developer (yours truly) was hit with a nasty stomach flu, and some other team members had to slow down work on GHPC due to the demands of their other jobs or their personal lives.  As a result, we're slightly behind where we intended to be at this point in December.

The good news is that we should still be able to release a patch early in January, as intended - it just may not have all the features we'd hoped.  We will, of course, continue working on everything as quickly as we can, and bring you the results when they're ready.

Thank you for your continued support, and we'll see you in 2022!

- Josh
