Heyy cutie, I hope you're doing well!! 🥰

It has been a while since my last post here, but I'm happy to break my silence with an awesome new game: Camgirl DVa (working title)! After mentioning it a couple of times on our Discord server and after a successful alpha test, this project is now finally ready for its early access beta release.

As always, the early access is available exclusively to Patreon supporters. However, to show my gratitude for your amazing loyalty, everyone who has supported me on Patreon this year receives access to the game's early access release. Sadly Patreon doesn't have a feature for this, so if you aren't a patron right now but have been earlier this year, please reach out to me (ideally on Discord) with your Patreon username and I will send you a link to the early access of Camgirl DVa.

I initially only wanted to post the early access and not talk much about anything else, but after writing the text, I realized that it contains a lot of information relevant to non-supporters as well. Thus, I've now split the text into this public update post and a seperate, members-only post for the early access, which will be published shortly after this one. I will not discuss Camgirl DVa in this text, please go to the other post to read about that project and to play the early access.

Instead, I want to use this post to talk about my plans for the future, largely based on your responses on my last post. Back in January, I asked all of you to share your thoughts and ideas for the future of my content and me as a creator. I received lots of positive, insightful, and funny feedback from you and it has already impacted my plans in a major way. Thank you to everyone who participated in the survey! 😄

️So let's get started! But before we discuss our future together, let me first say a few words about my past two years.

my past two years

To be honest, I'm not the type of person to look back into the past. I much prefer actively embracing and shaping the future. However, over the last months, I've increasingly received messages asking "Where'd you go? Are you still active?". Since I very much appreciate so many of you enjoying my content and reaching out to me directly, I want to grant you some insight into my last two years, without going into too much detail. 😌

Although I published one of my most innovative projects, Evening at Fluttershy's: Remastered with Voice Acting, just over a year ago, my last full original game, Morexis Minigames 2021, is already almost two years old. So why hasn't there been a new game for almost two years?

I wish there was an easy answer, but it's a combination of many factors. For one, Milovana (the platform on which I create and host the games) has been very unstable and unreliable recently, making it impossible to work on games for months. At one point, all of my games were even entirely inaccessible for weeks due to server issues. When I was able to work on games, I focused all of my time on the elusive Home Office Game (working title), a project that seemed promising but ultimately became too extensive and complex to handle, discouraging me from investing further effort and time into it. I also spent half of last year living in another country, which personally were some of the most important and exciting months of my life, but didn't leave much time for content creation. Following my time abroad, I finished my undergraduate degree, which I had started shortly after publishing my first game, and generally enjoyed an active life after the pandemic. The circumstances are just different now, compared to the time in lockdown, which allowed me to publish six games in 2020 alone.

Nonetheless, even after over four years, I still love creating content for you and interacting with my community. And I will always find time for the things I love. After all, I organized an amazing No Nut November event on our Discord server last year, despite personal issues and working a full-time job at the time (obviously in large parts thanks to the tremendous help from my awesome moderators). Expanding on that point, I've also decided to focus less on games and more on the community, on events and activities on Discord. That's why I prefer to say "content" instead of "games". I certainly plan on continuing to create JOI games, but I don't want to limit myself to this one medium. Anyway, this isn't intended to be a comprehensive list of reasons, nor an apology for the lack of games in the last two years. I just wanted to give you some insight into my perspective, since some of you asked about it. 😊

These last years have without a doubt been the best of my life. Mentally and creatively, I'm in a much better place now than when I first started creating games. In late 2020 and early 2021, I felt a lot of pressure to keep coming up with new games, to not only improve their quality but also publish them as fast as possible. I spent so much time worrying about the number of server members, the number of supporters on Patreon, the likes on Reddit, the views and ratings of my games, and all of these apparent metrics of "success". Creating any content on the internet can quickly feel like a rat race, trapped in relentlessly increasing expectations and demands.
However, I want to be clear that no one actually put me under pressure like that - no one but myself. On the contrary, it's incredibly valuable to know that I can count on your support regardless of how few posts I write in a year or which dead end experimental project I'll try next. Whether you spend the price of a cup of coffee per month to support me or simply send me encouraging messages, it all means a lot to me. To reduce it to two words, I am incredibly grateful for all of your loyalty and trust in me. Without you, the first sentence of this paragraph would've been a different one.

Alright, that was already more than I planned on talking about this topic. I hope I answered some of your questions, don't hesitate to reach out if I missed anything. 😘

my plans for the future

So after this reflection of the past, let's discuss where we are headed next, aside from Camgirl DVa. As I've mentioned on Discord in the past, I want to make some substantial changes. A lot of them will be cosmetic (new profile picture, new color scheme, stuff like that), but I also want to rework the supporter tiers based on your feedback in the community survey.

Don't worry, I don't intend to disadvantage you with these changes in any way. I simply want to make the tiers and benefits more relevant to your interests and needs. I rely on you, so offering rewards and content that you are happy to support financially is in both of our best interest. Generally, I feel like my public appearance as well as my offered rewards have become outdated and stale. Improving all of this will be a continuous process and I'm sure it will take some time to figure out the best solution, but the fact that I've hardly changed my Patreon page or evolved my identity as a creator in the last four years should be reason enough to reconsider the status quo. 😅

As part of the 2023 Community Survey, I've received lots of suggestions for characters and kinks you would like to see featured in my games. While the scope of this post isn't to analyze your responses in detail, rest assured that I will take all of your submissions into account when creating future content. A lot of you also wished for more community events, so I definitely want to focus more on organizing activities for our Discord server. Last year's No Nut November event was a great precedent for this, but we need to make changes and do some restructuring before these activities can become a regular thing. Just know that we're already working on some new features and that these changes are high up on my list of priorities.

Another one of my major plans for the future is both exciting and possibly controversial, and it could mean a huge shift from my current type of game. In the community survey, I asked how you feel about original characters appearing in my games. On a scale from 1 ("hate") to 5 ("love"), the median response was 4. I'm very excited to see your interest in me creating original characters as opposed to using familiar faces from popular culture, as I have for all of my games so far. Coming up with original characters sounds really fun and opens a lot of doors for me creatively.

Just a year ago, this would've been almost impossible, since I wouldn't have been able to acquire enough pictures of new characters for my games. Thanks to groundbreaking improvements in artificial intelligence, I can now generate original pictures of new characters doing what I need them to do for the game. That's the controversial part. However, in the survey, you were pretty much indifferent about me using AI-generated pictures (the average response was 3.15), so I hope you're willing to embark on this experiment with me. 🤗

Additionally, using AI to generate pictures allows me to finally fulfill one one of the requests I receive most frequently. Since 30 percent of you wanted to see me as the boss character in the Home Office Game, and since some of you described me as "sexy" and "breedable" in the 2023 survey, I plan on including myself as Morexis more prominently in future games. By the way, other descriptions of me included "strict", "a tease", and "can be intimidating but that can also be exciting". No wonder you guys wanted to see me in the role of the boss character. 😏

For the first phase of this Morexis Character Universe™, I've already conceptualized three new characters to appear beside me in future content (you can find a little teaser beneath this paragraph). If you're interested in seeing what I've done with AI so far, check out #artificial-art and #exclusive-content on our Discord server. It's difficult to estimate how well this will work out for games, but I'm optimistic and excited about these upcoming projects!

closing remarks

Those are my main plans for the future which I wanted to discuss today. I have some more ideas but I'll tell you more about those as they unfold. Regarding this year's No Nut November, we mods are still figuring out if we're going to have an event on the server and what exactly it will be. I'll be away on travels for two weeks during October but I'd love to have a fun event similar to last year's, if I find the time to set it up.

For now, enjoy the early access for my new game Camgirl DVa! I'm not sure when I'll release the game to the public. I would prefer to carry out the aforementioned changes to my public appearance before publishing the game, so maybe I'll wait until Christmas. The feedback I've received so far has been very positive, so I'm excited to finally show you this awesome new game. Like most of my games, Camgirl DVa includes an additional storyline for patrons of tier 3 "Exclusive Enthusiast" or higher. The password to unlock this special content will be posted together with the early access. Due to this new password, the password for Furry Fapjack Clubs is now also available to supporters of tier 2 "Historical Helper"! So if you aren't a Patreon supporter yet, now is a great time to join and play Camgirl DVa before anyone else! 🤩

Regardless of my games or Patreon posts, I'll always be available on Discord just as I have been for the last years. So don't hesitate to send me a message if you have any thoughts or questions about the things I discussed in this post, or anything else. I might not reply as quickly as I did during lockdown, but I still have nothing but love and gratitude in my heart for all of you.

Thank you so very much for your trust and loyalty!! 💖
