Early Access: Morexis Minigames Vol. 1 (Patreon)

Hey there, I hope your week is going well! 🥰

It's time for a little surprise! Without many posts or teasers, I have a new game for you today! But just to be clear right from the start, this isn't the Home Office Game we've been talking about for the last weeks. Your votes in the Home Office Game Character Poll played a part in the selection of the characters featured in this game, but it's something completely different.

Morexis Minigames started as a small idea and a neat way for me to experiment with some new techniques and has turned into a pretty big, innovative game featuring four game modes and six characters (with at least six more being added until the full release). To be honest, I'm not entirely sure you guys will even enjoy this concept but I'm ready to try it, if only for the sake of doing something new. If you do like it, I plan on adding more characters and maybe additional game modes in the future.

Although it may appear simple at first, the game's complex underlying system is based on Fapjack, featuring randomly selected pictures, dialogue lines and stroking instructions. However, there are no playing cards this time! 😉

As has been the case in the past, I'm still working on some elements of the game during early access but it's fully available for you to play already. I mostly plan on reworking some stuff, adding more dialogue lines, some more characters, maybe some more pictures and making sure there are no bugs in the system. So if you notice anything odd or have some suggestions for improvements, please don't hesitate to let me know about it! 🙌

Let's take a second to talk about this game's characters. The first version of Morexis Minigames featured Astolfo, Elsa, Fischl, Luna, Midnight, Mercy, and Samus. Based on a couple different factors, I decided to change that to Astolfo, DVa, Luna, Makoto, Raven, and Zelda. Since I had already created the structures for the original characters, they will be playable in a seperate version only available to you, my amazing patrons. 😘

However, I'm not really happy with the amount and quality of pictures I had collected for Luna, so I'm planning to move her to the Patreon version too and instead add a different MLP character to the public version. You'll eventually be able to play all of them anyways, so Luna is still a main character in the early access; just keep in mind that she'll probably be gone by the time I release the public version.
I also decided to remove Elsa from the main characters because I don't like the images I found for her. However, since I made this decision last second before posting this, her assets are still in the game, so you can play her by clicking "+ more" in the character selection. Enjoy this little easter egg. 😋

I'm planning the public release some time in the first week of November, depending how much I still want to change. I'll also tell you more details about the conceptualization, creation and innovation of this game in the public game post. For now, you can find some more information about the game by clicking "information" in the character selection. The Patreon exclusive version will be released around the same time as the public game. Until then, I hope you enjoy the early access. 😄
