The two met each other when enrolling at their local spaceflight academy and quickly became inseperable. With Zmia specializing in navigation and Ignis being more interested in hands-on piloting, the duo immediately made for a great team that proceded to climb through the various classes and simulation hours required to become fully licensed pilots. Once they both finished their education and graduated, the academy assigned them their first vessel: The Falx-04.

It wasn't a particularly remarkable ship, being a small cargo vessel intended for supplying space stations and other vessels in orbit around the planet, but it was Zmia's and Ignis' first step towards the stars and a memory they both treasure to this day.
