Had a fun surprise this week!

I stumbled across a folder full of Wayhaven ideas I’ve been gathering over the years! :D Was seriously interesting and fun to go through scenes and ideas I’d totally forgotten about!

Some of them I know I really want to get into Book Four, so I’ve been working out which ones will work with the already planned scenes and adding those in, as well as sorting the others into the folders for the later books too.

I guess that’s part of the problem of writing things on scraps of paper for so many years! But hey, it was an awesome discovery to make, hehe :D

There was also another thought-provoking moment this week. I was talking to my friend who does my French translations for me, and he was talking about the difference between literal translations and real life language.

Like, sometimes a word or saying can be translated literally through a translator or language dictionary, but those certain phrases are actually used differently than they might seem by people who speak it.

Kind of like slang.

Really made me think about an interesting moment to have between Farah/Felix and Nate/Nat over the difference they have about a certain important word in Echolian in Book Four. Really looking forward to that scene now—it just seems to add a bit of extra depth, especially as languages are really not my thing! :D

For Update+ this week, an example of how-even though I'm typing up the plan- I'm still writing ideas on scraps of paper, lol!

Hope you all have the most amazing weekend! We'll be offline as usual, so talk to you all on Monday <3

Ah ah find a folder like that is always a good news. No matter how you can use it or not. Have you planned to translate all B4 in French? I would be very interested if so ah ah ! I think all of your books deserve to be translated in more languages! They are so wonderful that I hope they will be spread in the world! ❤️🌍
