The Wayhaven Chronicles—Update+ 16/Sept/2022 (Patreon)

A very straight forward week this week, which is always nice!

Chapter 18B is coming along very nicely! I may have had waaay too much fun with one particular choice set, which I won't spoil (a first for me, lol!), but I can't wait for you guys to reach it :D

Though I did have one eye-opening coding realisation this week. It's a super simple thing, and I have no idea why I hadn't thought of it already, but it's going make one variation a whole lot easier and quicker to write! I actually might go back through during editing and change what I've already done just to make it neater.

I think my coding is definitely something I'm so much prouder of this time around! Book Two I was still learning a lot, but I worked on coding practice a lot in the break between 2 and 3, and I feel it's really paid off! So much smoother for Book Three, which means I get to spend more time on the actual writing part, hehe :D

Chapter 18B will definitely be finished next week! But I'm going to take some time for editing before moving onto Chapter 19A (though I kind of made a bit of a start on it already....)

Nai is back next week, which means we can start looking at seeing if the save system for Book Two is up yet, plus checking for Book Three steam wishlist so as we can start marketing! Blimey, it's really gonna be full steam ahead once that happens!!

There won't be any 'TFW' gif posts on Patreon on Monday, or reblogs, etc, out of respect of the Queen's memorial, so that'll pick up again on Tuesday.

For Update+ this week, a little moment where things are just old hat to the MC at this point, hehe!

"Deal with it how?" he asks, throwing his hands out to the thick bars decorated with flakes of peeling paint. "Do you have a plan to get out of here?"

I eye him carefully for a moment, narrowing my eyes. "You're remarkably calm considering our current circumstances."

He shrugs. "So are you."

"Oh, you'd be surprised how many times I've been in this kind of situation the past few months," I reply with a dismissive wave of my hand.
