“Aggravating,” Adam/Ava admits through a groan.

Nate/Nat instantly lights into a smile. “Well that’s charming.”

“It’s honest,” the team leader replies while folding their arms. “All you did was contradict everything I ordered.”

“Asking you to consider other options to something isn’t contradicting, Adam/Ava,” they clarify, giving a slight shrug. “It's good to look at things from all angles, not just blindly obey orders.”

Adam/Ava looks back to you with a withered stare. “I take it back. It wasn’t aggravating—it still is.”

Nate/Nat laughs. “It’s not quite as bad today. We have Mason/Morgan and Farah/Felix to help balance us out. The only person we had back then was—” Their features fall as their words cut to a sharp, pained stop.

The team leader bristles for a moment before a glaze of sadness sweeps across their eyes.
