Unseen Scene—First Kiss LI PoV (Felix version) (Patreon)

That smile.

Jeez, that smile!

It’s about all Felix can think as [Name]’s lips curve into the most perfect smile that turns his insides to complete mush.

He swallows hard. “I’d really like to kiss you now.” It’s a struggle to force his gaze up from their lips, but he does so in order to gauge their reaction to the request.

His lungs sting as he holds his breath waiting for their reply.

Time seems to slow around them as [Name] reaches up, resting a gentle hand on his cheek. The touch elicits a ragged breath of relief from Felix that he fails to keep contained.

His lip quivers beneath their thumb as they draw a line across it.

They tip their body close, and Felix’s eyes drift closed with anticipation firing an electrical current through every nerve, making his skin tingle.

[Name]’s lips caress a gentle touch across his own mouth, and he fists his fingers into the sofa cushion to keep from eagerly clutching at them to deepen the kiss…but he doesn’t have to wait long for that to happen.

Felix didn’t realise just how much he’d been craving this moment. Or how fiercely his body would react. His heart drums a happy beat against his ribs, and his limbs go limp for a second as the happiness pours with the raging force of a wildfire through him.

Needing more of the sensation that only [Name] can give, he shifts closer to draw them in.

They eagerly oblige, wrapping their fingers around the back of his neck so as their lips sink further together.

Bliss takes over.

It pushes a smile onto his face that he can’t stop.

If he could radiate with happiness, he’s pretty sure the whole room would be lit up brighter than every star in the sky combined.

When they reluctantly part, he blows out a breath, giving a small shake of his head. It does little to bring him out of the euphoria of the moment.

“Whoa…,” he eventually breathes, the word not even close to covering the extent of how he truly feels.

“Yeah.” A smile lights [Name]’s face just a brightly, causing another shiver of fear to fade from Felix’s spine.

A thundering beat pulses in his ears, which he assumes is his own rapid heartbeat, but as reality seeps back into his mind, he realizes it’s not just his.

He slides his fingers curiously onto [Name]’s collarbones. “Your heart is racing.” It’s an obvious statement, but he’s never had anyone react so strongly to him before. Could…they really feel just as much as he does?

He’s almost scared to let himself believe it.

Thankfully, a distraction is provided in the form of them tracing their fingers over his wrist, their thumb pressing gently down on his pulse point. “So is yours.”

His gaze shifts to capture theirs once more. He sucks in a breath to ask for another kiss when the clock decides to give the worst-timed interruption it ever possibly could.

There’s still a moment, a small sliver of anticipation, where the moment holds.

But fear once more tugs him back. “I hope you can sleep better now.”

“I’m not so sure on that…” they admit, sending another hopeful spiral twisting through him. “Guess I better try though.”

‘Don’t go.’ The words press against his closed lips, wanting to break free. ‘I don’t want to be alone. I don’t want to be without you. Not now.’

But even he can’t find the courage to release them, so instead tugs them close once more.

He sweeps his lips across theirs in another kiss. He tries to focus on capturing it all to memory: their taste, their touch, their reactions to him…but he falls into the spell of it too deeply to manage it.

When they break away, Felix forces a smile past his worries, just wanting to fully immerse himself in this memory. “I just wanted to make sure I wasn’t dreaming. Goodnight.”

He watches them as they go, blowing out a breath as though the confines of his body aren’t enough to contain just how happy he truly is…even if tinges of doubt creep like shadows at the edges of the beaming light.
