The Wayhaven Chronicles—Update 24/Sept/2021 (Patreon)

What a difference a week makes! :D

My head was clear, my imagination was prepped, and I was seriously raring to go!

Over my break, I started to plan out the Autumn specials for Patreon next month. They're gonna have a Halloween party theme, 'cause I can't resist! I was asked a few times back in Book One how would the LIs respond to an MC who dressed as a vampire for Halloween, and my mind has been running lately as to how that opinion might have changed at this stage in their romances! Plus, writing the LIs outfit choices is gonna be a blast! So that got me super buzzed to get back to it!

On Monday, I got straight back into editing Chapter 7. Ended up adding a few thousand words to it as well as editing through the whole thing and testing it out. I was trying to be SUPER thorough as I went. 

I was getting SO hyped because I was going through scenes I'd forgotten about that I love, and Unit Bravo weren't even there! It was the introduction of some new characters, while also being with another character (that character determined by choices from Book Two). And it was great fun because when Unit Alpha were introduced, you had the familiarity of Unit Bravo to help, but I wonder how people's MCs will react without that familiar support there. Especially because the intro can happen in one of two very different ways! :D

So yeah, I'll send that over to SpunkyCatNinja when she's ready.

I think I will hold off on doing the whole of Chapter 8 though. I'm probably going to write a scene of Chapter 9, then edit a scene of Chap 8, then write a scene of Chap 9. At least that's my plan, so we'll see how it goes. 

Partly because I don't want to overwhelm SpunkyCat as Chapter 7 is pretty big, but Chapter 8 is a monster of a chapter, so both at the same time would just be way too much—for her and for me! But also because I have a very strict timetable for myself, and I want to stick to it, so I think this would be the best way of doing that.

...And I really, really want to write Chapter 9, hehe :D

So I will be getting back into editing Chap 8 for the rest of today, which means I can start on the first version of Chap 9 on Monday!

"I wonder if I would…." The words are barely more than soft breath across ${a_his} lips. $!{a_she} looks over to ${mason}. "Would ${mc_she}?"

A frown nestles across ${mason}'s brow. "You're not a curse to everyone around you, ${adam}." There's a moment of strange silence before ${m_she} blows out a sigh and brushes ${m_his} fingers through ${m_his} hair. "But it's up to you. Whatever you need."
