The Wayhaven Chronicles—Update+ 02/July/2021 (Patreon)

Focused week this week. I really wanted to get F's Chapter 8 Research version finished, which I did!

It was a bit more intensive than N's, because F is starting to have a real shift if you're not in a relationship with them, so that means writing a different version of already different versions of scene and choices in order to account for that.

Between N and F, who have the 'proper' option of being a relationship, F is definitely starting to react to if the MC doesn't want a relationship. Not in a bad way or necessarily upset, just trying to gauge what's actually happening and not make the MC uncomfortable.

It's hard to explain, and I don't want to spoil things, but it's great getting to add in those nuances of how people are playing the romance! I really want more and more of characters reacting to small and big moments as the series goes on.

But then of course, M's scene was calling to me after I was done :D

So I started that, but I am going to try and get some Chapter 7 editing done next week! There's a good amount of content I want to go in it, and I really want to get it over to SpunkyCat so as it's finally checked off the list! 

Editing is a definite...just with moments of M's Chapter 8 scene interspersed for some fun, hehe!

Next week, I'll also be working on Patreon content, and I'm excited for the Unseen Scene series this time! It's actually going to be canon scenes, but not ones necessary for the game or I definitely would have included them. It's just a set of LI PoV scenes I couldn't fit in organically to the end of Book Two!

Nai is away on vacation next week, but she has some really fun social media posts that she's scheduled in! I helped her with the captions to make sure they were authentic for the characters, and what she's done looks awesome! She comes up with such cool ideas! :D

SpunkyCat has also finished with subtitles for the YouTube Q&A April video! So we really hope that will help a lot for those who need them.

The Book Three demo YouTube video is taking a lot longer to edit this time as it was a doozy of a video, hehe! So I've told Nai not to stress about that before her vacation. She seriously deserves a break, so she'll get back to it when she returns. It'll probably be out around the normal end of the month for vids.

$!{f_she} leans back but doesn't pull out of my balancing hold and gives a small but dramatic gasp. "Are you trying to say that I would fake tripping just so as I could have this magically romantic moment?"

"I mean, I wasn't saying that, but now I'm definitely thinking it," I reply with a shrug, unable to hold back the smile any longer.
