Another flowy (is that a word?) week this week!
Continued to work on Chapter 7. The 'common' scene turned into a bit more intense than I planned, but that's always the way. One choice set towards the end of it ended up being over 3,000 words when it was just supposed to be a simple choice response, lol! But I love the variation in the scene for the love interests and how they respond to each choice, especially as it shows such a contrast to how some of them were earlier in the romances!
I've reworked the last bit of this common scene a few times now though, as it brings up a bit of foreshadowing stuff that I really want to get right! Think I'm happy with it now though.
The scene I'm working on now brings in some characters I am very excited to re-introduce, so it's been fun bringing them back! There's three versions of the next scene depending on branching, so it will be a bit intense, but really fun. I've done the three different openings, so now am onto the chunk of the scene for each. Will work on one at at time, though.
For this scene, the MC is completely away from Unit Bravo for the sort of first time in the facility, so it's a real chance to show how the supernaturals respond them being there and give the MC a chance to react to that without having UB back-up or to bounce off of.
This week I also added extra friendship moments into Chapter 6. I definitely want more of the friendship/BFF moments throughout Book Three, especially as that route will be locked later on in Book Three. So I want to make sure people are getting an idea of who they're currently highest friends with, and the moments in Chapter 6 will hopefully be able to show that.
After that, I sent Chapter 6 over to SpunkyCat ready for her to edit!
So it's just continuing on with Chapter 7 next week, adding in edits, and getting in contact with beta-testers (some have already agreed and are ready to go!) so as we're prepped ready for testing in possibly a couple of weeks.

For Update+ this week, I thought I'd share a line that got me very excited during a test playthrough of the demo this week.
-
$!{nate} turns to the other Trappers with a roar of a feral growl I didn't think ${n_she} was even capable of.
-
I forget this dramatic moment is in there as it's buried in a choice as well as the succeed stat variation, where as I've mostly been trying to check fail scene versions lately.
There's certainly hints of a different side of Nate/Nat in Chapter 6...
Hope you all have an amazing weekend, and I'll talk to you all soon! <3
