#IHarmU Vol. 4! (and a message for all melody-submitters!) (Patreon)

Dearest patrons – happy 2018 to you!! Here's the most recent collection of #IHarmU melodies for your delectation. Thank you so much to everybody who contributed! I had such a blast.

Harmonising melodies (as you know) is one of my most favourite things to do in all the world. When I launched the campaign two years ago, never in my wildest dreams could I have imagined this project would have grown to such phenomenal proportions (130+ melodies! I was expecting about 15. 'Tis true).

Over the past couple of weeks, besides reflecting on the profound craziness that was 2017, I found some time to put pen to paper and plan the year ahead, which (although I won't yet reveal these crazy plans) involves an inhumanly stupendous amount of hard work and creating time. This is UNBELIEVABLY exciting — but I am realising, with the sheer amount I'm giving myself to do this year, that my time is going to be rather saturated.

I promised to do every single melody that was submitted back in 2016—and I'm still fully intending to do as many as time will allow! I've set myself a goal to try have them all done by the summer. I'm aware that, due to the whirlwind nature of the In My Room launch, I may have missed some melodies that came in during the April-July window in 2016. To plan my time properly, it's crucial I know how many there are in total still to harmonise moving forward. Below is a list of everybody whose melody is in my MELODIES folder, waiting to be harmonised. If your name is not on this list and you sent me a melody between April-July 2016 (and haven't spotted it in one of the four volumes so far), please send it over to WITHIN THE NEXT 48 HOURS! I will then match your name to your pledge, complete my list, and will know for sure how many I'm dealing with over the next few months. If your name says "already harmonised!", it means I've already harmonised you, but haven't yet posted! You'll be in the next volume :-)

I know every melody by heart, and it makes me sad to have to say this, but if there are any of you who might be willing to forgo a harmonisation, I would of course be rather grateful (and willing to reimburse every penny you have paid to me on Patreon in return for letting you down, of course!)... I wish I were bathing in free time, and could happily give every one of these melodies all the love and attention that it deserves... but I know I'm going to be absolutely CRAZY busy these next few months, and every moment harmonising could be a moment album-making. Please feel absolutely no pressure whatsoever to do this – Just thought I'd mention :-)
