Yeah see this is what I was thinking a while back ago when he woke up after Vlagg returned. He isn't really broken in the normal sense of he only lives for sex or pleasure of others and he cant think on his own, he just simply changed his priorities from being a warrior to being a survivor and He simply puts up with it because he feels if he doesn't they will hurt his fiancé, which i'm pretty sure they would have hurt her if he did continue to fight. People do crazy things to survive and personally regardless of the setting they are in I don't think there's really any shame in Gervic decision. and He not in such a sorry state that even f he has to live with the curse his entire life he cant change his mind. him being Vlaggs squire is perfect example of that. he is fully capable of still making his own decisions and doesnt resort to pleasuring others as a means of survival, this time its just dealing with the curse and doing chores.

I’d be surprised if there were other good dragons. Vlagg is the nicest dragon I’ve seen so far and he’s still skeptical. And herrin (can’t remember his exact name very well) is nice but he’s really only nice because he’s told to be nice and supportive, not to mention he would kill Gervic in a heartbeat if Gervic was suspicious or up to something so I would barely call him nice if at all
