[UPDATE] - finish Mau animation added in, some fix settings issue, lower texture resolution which decreases file size, etc.

So a bit of a large update was done to the Alpha Demo, I modify it to feature 3 levels instead of 1 which shows off the new level transition systems, added a new trap that requires players to crouch to avoid, and tested out some changes in the coding that might help make the game more optimized. Anyway, there are things I need to do with this Alpha Demo before its Public release, but it is pretty much playable, so enjoy and provide feedback.

-First, of course, I appreciate the extended ticklish reaction with the scarabs! -The new traps were annoying in a good way. Knocked me off a couple of times, before I stopped being so cocky, and watched the timer. -I like the layout of the new levels too, smooth and easy to navigate. The further use of depth in the layout is definitely working.

I seem to be having a lot of problems with the settings menu. the volume settings keep resetting to zero and the settings doesn't show the current settings after I put them in. the settings also reset when I return to the main menu or restart the game. having the settings default to the low quality graphics, I noticed the wire path patterns won't appear. I really like the redesigned layout and puzzles teaching the player to crouch and how the scarabs work. with the three crate puzzle, could there be some way to lock the crate in place after the puzzle is solved? the player might accidentally move the crate after solving it. Mau's animations look really good.

Thanks for the info I'll look into what's going on with the settings. I have made changes in coding that maybe I overlook something that affects the settings.

Want to ask did you say that the default settings are low Graphics, also do you make sure to hit the Apply button the options when you finished

yes, default settings are low graphics. yes I hit the apply button and the settings display and game settings update, but if I exit the settings menu and go back to the settings menu, the settings display will reset to the default settings. (actual game settings stay the same)

an example would be if I change the resolution to 1080X720 and hit apply the game window would change to that resolution. but if I go back into the settings menu it will say the game is running on the default resolution even though it is actually running the 1080X720 resolution.

I am wondering why they start on the low settings compared, that the first time I heard that, only guess maybe your PC is the low end so the game automatically goes to the lowest, as for the info issue, it must be that the game is unable to read the save file on your PC that has the settings so it's just set to default. I'll see what's causing that.

I didn't have this problem with the previous builds. My laptop is relatively new I think it's 1 or 3 years old. I'll try re-downloading it to see if that fixes the problem.

(Haven't re-downloaded yet) I think the problem is the settings default to the lowest setting even with the volume settings. So it wouldn't be my computer.
