Looking up Bob Murawski I discovered that Sam Raimi edited Army of Darkness with him under the pseudonym R.O.C. Sandstorm. Bruce Campbell used the same pseudonym when co-wrote The Nutt House with the Raimis. I further discovered that Bob Murawski seems to be Sam Raimi's go-to editor. They've worked together on at least 5 movies. Currently they're working on World War 3, which seems to be an odd timing, considering the current geopolitical entanglements, and effects like rising energy prices and food shortages. But whatever. I guess, if I get the opportunity to watch Doctor Strange, I'd do it. I'm looking forward to what's next in the RLM pipeline.

Sam Raimi references are in the movie for the Sam Raimi fans so they can cheer at the references and feel special bc their references are different ant more special than the Marvel references and the Wanda Vision references and all the other cultural references. Raimi fans you have been referenced by the Mouse. Reference reference reference reference…

No interest in seeing this whatsoever, by the way... "Endgame" killed the MCU on a highly disappointing note for me. I saw "Far From Home" afterwards, because I had it on DVD, and it did nothing for me, whatsoever... "Spider-Man 2" will probably go down in history as Sam Raimi's last good movie, "A Simple Plan" as his last great one... that's fine with me...

I'm glad Mike liked the last couple Spiderman movies. They're fun. :)

Weird how a movie directed by Sam Raimi would have moments that feel like Sam Raimi. Weird that a Marvel movie would reference other Marvel movies.

Is there a universe in the multiverse where there are no real super heroes, only comic book characters and actors portraying them for movies? Related, was “Star Wars” a movie in the Star Trek timeline?

Does Sam Raimi's '73 Oldsmobile make a cameo?

Pretty much agreed with this review. I was about 20 minutes into this film and thought, it felt off. Was hoping Raimi’s return would be a better Marvel than Dr Strange. This character is definitely better in a second fiddle role. Though I enjoyed all the Evil Dead nods and whiplash camera moves. SPOILERZ The movie would have been much better if undead Strange with the ghost-spirit cape was in more of the film. John Krazinski killed unceremoniously was a thumbs up at least.
