Hey everyone. A Best of the Worst Spotlight episode on the Barry J. Gillis nightmare Wicked World will be coming this weekend. Just in time for a midwest snowstorm!!! Then next week, Jay and Jack are planning to shoot a re:View for Tron: Legacy, a movie that came out 10 years ago now and was mostly met with indifference. The original Tron will be discussed too but the focus will mainly be on the unloved sequel. And lastly, it's not coming from us, but towards the end of the month will see the release of the first episode of the new Picard show. For whatever that's worth.

Ah shit you're really going to make me watch Tron: Legacy...

Andy

YES! Cant wait for the Tron Legacy Re:View - that's honestly my most memorable loved movie of the last 10 years. I just hope you dont shit on it too much. Will be good to see Jack too - i've been enjoying seeing him on the Escapist channel.

It should be called Star Trek Pickled cos that’s how they’re keeping Patrick Stewart alive

The soundtrack for Tron Legacy alone makes the movie worth it. Tho that Jeff Bridges CGI didn't age well... Movie looked cool otherwise.

BadRoy

"For whatever that's worth." Exactly

Tron legacy was better than everyone gave it credit for

CGI Jeff Bridges fits the setting of Tron considering its all a video game, unlike CGI Patrick Stewart in X-Men Origins or Henry Cavill's weird computer lips.

Tron: Legacy, that's an interesting choice for a Re:View. I'll have to try and watch it. Just watched a trailer for Wicked World and they just throw boobs right in there, don't they? The movie seems like sweet, sweet cheese.

I loved TL! I wish Disney had gone ahead with the sequel.

Jack and Rich should review The Witcher Netflix series while playing Witcher 3. #prerec4life

Christ – now I feel like I have to rewatch Tron and Tron: Legacy again. Thanks RLM 😋

10 years?? Crikey. What’s his name is a bit of a wooden plank and Flynn Sr. is a bit of a Reluctant Jedi, and all that implies, but it’s more enjoyable than TLJ. And the soundtrack!! Best combo of electronic and classical to date.

Juan Calvo

That is all great. I'm watching the new Dracula show in Netflix and I feel RLM might have something to say about it too.

I don’t know who writes these updates or if it’s more than one person, but I read them all in Jay’s voice in my head

When should we expect the Junka with Mac?

Yay! Jack!

I can't wait to see Alex Kurtzman's vision of the bald guy from Star Track come to life!

Marvin Falz

I guess, I would like to see and hear Mike and Rich (Evans) talk about Picard, because that seems to be one of the few occasions, where Mike and Rich (Evans) talk in depth about something Star Trek related at all these days.

REMEMBER TRON?

Anonymous

I mean I’d love for them to not fuck up the Picard-show, but we all know they’re gonna do it, right? *sigh*

The visuals were stunning and the soundtrack is amazing. What’s not to love?

Ginny Higerd

I really loved Tron: Legacy.

re: Picard "whatever that's worth" - What it's "worth" better be a 45-minute Mike & Rich re:View of every single episode, right?? I mean, that might likely be the only thing that would make that show bearable. You can consider it payment for recommending J.J. to direct Star Wars movies.

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on Tron! I'm a big fan of the original, and I appreciated Tron: Legacy as well.

Anonymous

(Oh, and I have no hope that "Star Trek: Picard" will be any good at all, unfortunately. They're claiming that it's all Patrick Stewart's vision, but remember, Stewart was the reason we got "Action Hero Picard" and ludicrous dune buggy chases in the TNG movies.)

The Daft Punk score for Tron: Legacy was amazing! Only thing I remember about it.

Anonymous

Thanks for the update , I am really curious about the Tron Legacy re view !! I can’t wait , well I can wait technically but I really don’t want to .

Anonymous

I’m cheering like a child! 😆🎉

Anonymous

I remember when I saw TRON: Legacy at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood, and afterwards I walked into their gift shop and saw allllll the TRON: Legacy action figures & toys were already having a mark down of 40%! 😆

Anonymous

But I enjoy the Tron movies.

Anonymous

I loved Tron: Legacy. Overly simple story? Sure, but visually amazing, decent acting, and perhaps the best soundtrack ever.

Anonymous

I also enjoyed it, but I think the story may have been not simple enough - the score is pretty great though

Anonymous

Though I've previously vowed never to watch Star Trek: Nemesis ever again, I think I may need to revisit it before PICARD to remind myself just how low the bar is...

Love u guys!!

Silentphil9

Patrick Steward should be doing better things with his remaining years.

Manuel Johnen

"TRON: Legacy" wasn't met with indifference by me... I fucking HATED it!

YAYYY finally we will find out what Jay's thoughts on the Daft Punk soundtrack are

Anonymous

Yes I have a sneaking suspicions that Seven of Nine is in this just because Patrick Stewart wanted to have love scenes with Jeri Ryan
