Well taking my best friend to it later today. Sounds like its fun but it again takes too much from past films, I guess that's just Abrams specialty. What? I thought the RLM crew WANTED Star Wars to not take risks and just keep re-doing the same tropes again and again! I thought they were going to be much happier with RoS than with TLJ!

Jay had never been a huge Sci Fi or Star Wars guy from what I could tell(although I think he was in the People vs George Lucas)? He seemed more impressed by the first two movies in the same way everyone in the industry is. So now that it is clear that none of these movies is gonna make it through a film school critical analysis with a passing grade, there is really no point in him chiming in; it is going to be about if these are good Star Wars movies and not good movies.

Man I don't know, I sure didn't feel like how Mike and Rich's faces look after I left the theater. Five minutes in, I realized I just had to turn my brain off and had a pretty good time with it. It's ridiculous, absurd, but pretty fun. It was like a Saturday morning cartoon extra long season finale where they just throw everything against the wall and hope it works somehow. It mostly did for me.

Got back from it. It was sloppy...but it was fun. That's about what I want from a Star Wars movie. It didn't quite have the visuals of TLJ and I think I appreciate that movie being a bit more experimental...but I had fun. Sequel trilogy/Disney films are still way better than the PT.

I’m fascinated now about what the guys will say with the mixed reviews, I’m wishing they hate it cause it will be more fun to hate consuming of produkt, but I’m kind of wishing the movie would be good so I can watch without getting nauseated like in last jedi
