Hey everyone this week I have a few cool images to show off. So I've been taking some time to start the next area which is the caves. This is mainly a figment/main story area in the game.

I added a new item into the game to help navigate dark areas. This will involve another small quest to get a lantern that I'll start designing soon. But the actual item works great you can equip it pretty much at any time and it doesn't need fuel will just light up the area for you.

Part of the cave will involve some new figments and battle arena.

The figments are based around sleeping/hypnosis/confusion. I have a sleeping crystal, strange hypnotic wisps. I also added a cat themed figment for the mountain road. I still need to give them names / animations / abilities but I love how they look.


I have some fun uses in mind for these figments so it's good to have their designs in place.

So my current tasks are turning the caves into an actual game area and linking it to the main story. I'll be doing this for the next few days and then get back to animations and sequences for the event system.

What about "infurno" for the kitty wisp, "swirl-actites" for the hypnotic looking stalactites, and Sapphire Pacifier for the Crystal one with the binky

I like the looks of these new figments, but did you get rid of the old ones? I’ve only seen The Cloud figments and the Nerdy figment since the latest update.

They are just waiting for new places to go. I'm keeping all of them so far. The old ones dropped out for re-tooling and some new abilities and will come back in other areas as higher level ghosts. Especially the lick and paddle ghost

Looking good! I especially love the way the lantern looks in the cave. I like Dayle's suggestion of "Infurno" for the cat ghost.
