Hello everyone,

Another huge thankyou to my patrons!

I know this has been a frustrating time for everyone. I'm going to put a definitive date on this process an say the demo will be out in 1 week from today. This week is too hectic for me to comfortably get it out.

But this time I'm pretty confident.

More complex systems means more complex bugs.
I've become a little bogged down in bug fixing including a few old favourites.

The great thing is this time it's happening for an entirely different reason. But these friendly NPC's have the player has returned and they can move again. (Which is a problem if they weren't moving in the firstplace).

This is just the realities of Game Dev. Things don't always go smoothly and this is probably the first real overshoot for this project. I've got the basic AI types working and I'm trying to bring back the old outfits and a few other bits and pieces.

I'm always going to keep this process updated so you all know where I'm at.

I'm going to be pushing very hard over the next few days to fix these bugs before I release it. But the most important parts like the new inventory GUI are working.

Devlog

This will be a quick one.

I'm trying to work out how to integrate the ABDL content. I'd prefer it be a gradual process, rather than allow the player to throw a diaper on the moment the arrive on the island.

I was thinking about making the process the first part of the game (Call it the tutorial) as you learn the basics the basic ABDL content is introduced and then expands from there.

Another alternative would be link that content to some part of an XP meter where I can more slowly introduce the ABDL content along with ability's, or I could link the two. Some abilities are activated by fighting the AB component while others are gained by embracing it. Like a light side/dark side ability tree.

Something a little more strange I had been considering was similar to the light side/ dark side concept but more active. Rather than the two ability trees as a permanent state they shift based on what your doing. More baby actions will shift and empower certain powers, while spending time as an adult will shift it back. Putting on a pull-up would be a way to stay at a specific balance point allowing access to both powers at once.

These are ideas floating around my head. No specific answers right now but they are food for thought. If there are any interesting systems people know of I'd be eager to hear them!

Introducing the ABDL stuff as your character starting having accidents not long after they arrive, perhaps? And yes, I like this idea about a wield-able power being incorporated. Toyed on and off with a similar sounding concept for years myself with my own game plans. 100% intrigued by this idea. :) I've said it before and I will say it again though... DO. NOT. BURN. YOURSELF. OUT. Nobody wants that, us or you. Don't be like a Publisher to yourself and force crunch-time on you. I am pretty sure with all you have done so far and what plans you have shared with us that easily 90% of your supporters are happy for you to take sufficient time. Not rush or strain yourself. By all means toy with ideas in the process, new or old, just don't get lost in it. You've done a fantastic job so far. Remember that. You just gotta keep it up, not push yourself to breaking point.

And I'm not saying that like I assume you don't already know this. You probably know it far better than any of us. Just trying to help.

New Patreon here! Just tried the first demo and I am super impressed, also with your frequent updates. As a software engineer myself with an interest in game dev, I find it amazing you have come so far. I’d like to echo Bob Bob and say no worries if the next demo slips a bit. This is a big project for one dev!

ABDLCheeks

Hey thanks! Yeah it's a huge project but I'm making better progress that I expected.

I will agree with the other two. The only thing I ask is at least a status on where you're at or what you're thinking of. Not ever post needs to be a release. This is an incredible game so far. It has so much potential.
