First, Merry Christmas to everyone! I will be taking the rest of the week off from art for all the holiday shenanigans, and for some extra rest. I feel like this month has been the busiest one for me in long time, not only because of having to sort out how to continue handling the income of my art sales, but also with all the work that went into creating the first animated work in over ten years. I had several days where I spent like 12 hours a day on these things. Even so, expect one more artwork for the month (for $5 tier and up) sometime next week.

Before I go though, let me drop an update on couple of recent topics.

Business Mode engaged

Eh, silly title. Basically, as I've mentioned before, in order to keep operating as I've done so far (see earlier posts for the specifics), I've now committed to starting a business. Well, I've registered a trade name and submitted all relevant forms to tax authorities, and hired an accountant. There are some initial expenses, but in the long run monthly expenses should be lower than before, so I might earn a bit more even.

Everything is pretty much set up, except there's still one final detail I need to get confirmation for from the tax authorities regarding taxes, and that could take several weeks. I'm going to keep going as usual until then though, as from what information I have gathered from other sources, everything should work as planned. So, unless something surprising comes up later, consider this crisis averted, all the platforms I've used will continue operating normally for now, and I won't be posting on this topic further. Yay!

Regarding future animation projects

So, I polled you guys about doing more animation projects in the future, and taking into account the votes from both Patreon and SubscribeStar, roughly 72% of you don't have a preference (basically, you're ok with animations), roughly 18% of you really want more animations, and about 10% would rather not have more animations. Since the preference is more skewed towards wanting more animations, I will put that under consideration. I will likely invest into the software needed regardless, and probably will try another animation sometime in the coming months, at least, to see how smoothly that goes in comparison to this month's animation project. If all goes well, and I'm interested in doing more, then I likely will. Until then I'm still undecided.

Regarding this, the bottom line is that I need to try new things to try and grow my audience. Animations is something non-supporters have asked about several times, and if I was consistent with them, I feel like they could be a decent selling point in the future. However, I'm also weary of changing my output too much driving away regulars, so I hope those of you who aren't big on animations will still consider supporting me, while I experiment whether animations are my thing. Who knows, I might just do one or two and then decide they're too much work. I just don't know yet.

Alrighty, enough talk. Once more, Merry Christmas!

For animations, have you considered learning Live2D, or hiring someone who knows it? A bondage artist I follow on Patreon (PlusOut) has a collaborator who often animates his still images using Live2D, and it's pretty impressive.

As some comments in my recent updates suggest, Live2D and other similar animations done primarily by morphing are a bit of a hit and miss with the crowd. Personally, I like that animation style when used with stuff like Vtuber models and other fairly static poses, but otherwise I feel like it's rare to see hentai stuff where I like the flow or motion of the animation. As for learning myself or collaborating, I feel like I'm too stubborn and nitpicky to let someone else do work that I could do myself, but I'd probably try a collaboration first, just to verify that. Regardless, Live2D or similar is not on my radar for the immediate future.
