November 2019 News #2 (Imgur, poll) (Patreon)

I mentioned this earlier, but I'm certainly aware of the issue that viewing images that I post as rewards on Imgur may now require a sign-up or login on Imgur if the images are flagged as nsfw (I don't flag them, but imgur might), and that a few of you folks don't want to sign up to an extra site for that. I can understand this. I know at least one patron has dropped their pledge because of this, so believe me, doing something about this is on my radar, but not until next month at earliest. Organizing a different method of sharing rewards, and possibly migrating old rewards too, isn't easy or quick, and I still have art quota to fulfill for this month.

The immediate solution since last month has been (in addition to usual Imgur links) to share a downloadable archive elsewhere of an entire month's rewards for each tier at the end of the month, and I plan to do so this month as well. This allows everyone to get their rewards without needing to sign up to or login at an external site. Still cumbersome, and not an instant access to stuff as it comes out, but you won't miss out on rewards entirely.

I'll look into a better solution soon, but please give me a bit more time as I go over the options. You can even help by suggesting solutions, though please bear in mind that any suggested service must meet the following criteria:  #1 Must accept NSFW content. #2 Content must be viewable without needing to log in. #3 Free or really cheap. #4 Needs to be reliable (a bit vague, but essentially either good reputation or long time in service).

In the meantime, I'd like to gauge how big of an issue Imgur really is.
