July 2019 News #3 (Patreon)

End of Month (rewards, pledges, gumroad)

July is coming to an end, and thus I just sent rewards to all eligible patrons. If you didn't receive a 'July 2019 Reward Compilation' message, then that likely means your pledge was not processed, either because it was declined, or because you pledged during the month, and your first pledge is getting processed at the start of August, so no money has been processed yet. On the off-chance that I missed sending rewards to someone, and you are sure you have a paid pledge (money has been processed), leave a comment or send me a message and I'll get it sorted!

If you didn't get a pledge processed for July, and still want to pay for the content, you can buy the July content as an archive on my Gumroad store page. There are packs for tier $5 and $10, and even a list of contents for each, so you'll have an idea of what you're getting. The July archive is in pre-order state until tomorrow, when it'll be released.

Those of you in lower tiers may want to go and check the Gumroad archives too, to see lists of what you'd get in higher tiers. ;) My Patreon hasn't been growing much this month, so additional support would be welcomed, most humbly.

Gumroad News (monthly subs, etc)

I recently added monthly subscription items in my Gumroad Store. These subscriptions are basically the equivalent of Patreon pledges of tiers $5 and $10, though with once-a-month delivery. With the Gumroad subscriptions you get a delivery of Patreon rewards, once a month, around the turn of a month.

The Gumroad subscription items serve three purposes. 1. They're an alternative for Patreon. Don't like using Patreon, but don't want to miss on content? Go sub on Gumroad. 2. The subs on Gumroad are also an additional way to support me. Since I can't accept custom pledges, and tier options on my Patreon are limited, if you'd wish to support me more, you can also sub on Gumroad for additional support. 3. And lastly, should anything ever happen to my Patreon page, the Gumroad subs are where I will recommend everyone to migrate to, to help me keep my art going.

August Art Plans

August will likely be similar to July in regards to content. 

I will continue the ongoing series by at least one additional image, possibly two. 

As my next considerable project, I'm thinking about doing a short comic (3-5 pages). I'm doodling a new comic currently, but I also have older comic projects that are in doodle/preview phase. I'm not yet sure which I'll end up finishing, but expect one of them to happen. I might hold a poll on which to finish, since I haven't held any polls lately. The comic pages will likely be public releases, so everyone gets to enjoy the basic versions. I think they'll be colored comics too. MAYBE!

Also, I didn't have time to do the winner of June's poll yet, so that will also likely come in August.

Additionally I'm doing one commission that is already paid for, and some tier $60 and $20x3 requests. I will be trimming down on these tiers soon however. I want to focus a bit more on commissions and my regular content instead. I will be in contact with tier $20 and $60 patrons sometime in August about changes or removals of these tiers for September.

Looking at the list above, it's quite a lot, so please forgive me if I can't quite do all of these. ^^;

August Patreon Plans (Upfront payments)

In regards to happenings to my Patreon page/campaign, aside from the above-mentioned changes to tiers $20 and $60, the only thing on my radar for now is to enable upfront payments, sometime very soon. This will primarily be helpful for new patrons, as they'll get to pay their first pledge immediately, and thus gain access to ongoing content for the month right away. It should also help block declined and fraud pledges from gaining access to content, so I don't need to monitor that stuff myself as much.
