To Lupa's point, the stormtroopers performed "Kintsugi" on their armor. They're Roman in style, but the technique used to break an item and reforge it with gold to make it stronger is actually Japanese/Samurai in origin. Btw Kintsugi shit is crazy expensive, but goddamn after 2000 years of practice, they make some beautiful shit with this technique

Maybe it's just me, but that reunion felt really underwhelming... Ezra was acting like he was baked, and Sabine barely widened her eyes at finally finding him. Here's hoping he became a badass while he was exiled... Also, I appreciate they use the same actor for Thrawn from Rebels, but we basically went from an animated Thrawn who was kinda built, to an old Thrawn who has a beer gut and kinda carries himself weirdly. I wonder if he was trying too hard to emulate the animated Thrawn or something?

Tbh, I don't think that this particular actress is doing a great job of portraying Sabine's character. Everyone else feels good, but I just don't find her entertaining or endearing. In all of her scenes, I haven't felt any chemistry between her and the other characters. I think the most chemistry she had was with Ezra, but even that was only slight and underwhelming for someone she was supposed to cross the galaxy to find. I do like Ezra's actor. He seems very light and cheerful, like he managed to find happiness and peace, despite being trapped in a distant desolate planet. Which is probably an energy all these traumatised characters need around them atm

The actress isn’t that dope no cap but I feel like the writers kinda did her dirty as well. I feel like In Rebels, she’s more badass, thoughtful and intelligent. You could feel like she’s a grown woman who knows what she’s doing or at least won’t do anything too stupid while she’s figuring it out.

This version of her seems more like a bratty teenager to me, she reminds me more of a gender bent season 1 Ezra, than Sabine Wren. I didn’t like the fact that they’re trying to make her a Jedi as well, she was cool as a badass mandalorian gunslinger, but they’re probably setting her up to get the darksaber, which would still be a bad choice IMO

Yeah, the writing isn't the best for her. I didn't mind that she was training to be a jedi, since she had already begjn her Jedi training with Kanan and Ezra in rebels when she had the darksaber. I like the idea of her combining both Jedi and Mandolorian styles. Spoiler if you haven't watched Mandolorian Season 3: Setting her up to wield the darksaber a get would be pretty dumb since Moff Gideon fucked that thing up and completely destroyed it in Mando s3 finale. And even if it still existed or was somehow repaired/recreated, she had already owned it previously and gave it away to Bo Katan so that she could unite Mandalore in Rebels (which Bo Katan traded to Gideon in return for sparing her people, which he ultimately went back on). So for her to get the darksaber again would be dumb, especially with Bo Katan still being alive. Also, for them to bring the darksaber back would be pointless. It's destructiong offered a chance for the Mandolorian survivors to move on and start anew.

it's like 200 episodes total, and definitely includes a good amount of lore, but not necessary in the slightest. I did ugly cry at the endings, so I appreciate them. Tho Filoni is going out of their way to make this show accessible to those who didn't watch, they're doing that well, and honestly, it'd be weird to see rebels after this in terms of watch order

Tbh agree that I think the scene with Sabine and Ezra was kinda off? Like idk if it’s just the actress or the direction but if I just sacrificed an entire galaxy in order to see this person, I’d be crying or damn near close when I saw them. They talked like they haven’t seen each other in like a week or something ☠️

My only complaint with this episode is thrawn's appearance. Dude was a hardline military man who wouldn't accept a single gram of excess fat on his frame. I get they're probably trying to portray the the passage of time but I can' see Thrawn ever allowing himself a gut (No shade to the actor)
