This manga is hands down the best sports based manga ever. The story is fucking phenomenal and the action is almost non stop. Can't wait for the next season. Movie will be a side story following Nagi and his growth in soccer. Season 2 will be the U-20 match. Season 3 will be the big reveal and some of the coolest insanity I've seen in a manga in a while, the concept is incredible.

Ego has to cut down the team its 11 v11 all 35 of them not going to make the "Bluelock Eleven" So, you have your starting 11 then 5 to 7 players on the bench if they want to replace players during the match. So, Sheera is right... Out of the 35, prob 15 to 20 players will be selected. Next season gonna be gas as well

Wild theory, this is ichigo's 'hidden' story before bleach. Grand fisher killed his mom, he played soccer and joined blue lock, got kicked out and then met rukia. That explains the episodes where karin (his sister in bleach) plays soccer so she can continue his story of being the best striker.

The real problem for Blue Lock is how they form a proper team of 11 from 35 strikers. I'm sure they are better or at least as good as U-20's strikers, and several of them have talents for midfielders like Bachira, Reo or Isagi himself. However, they didn't have anyone with good defensive abilities, and on top of that they have to pick a goalkeeper from those strikers.

The goalie was iemon and yeah he's gone. In fact he was one of the guarantees to go sadly cause he never played as a striker the whole time. He really sacrificed for the rest.

I was wondering the same thing...My theory is that the author will make them play in the U-20 world cup and have them get knocked out late in the knock stages (quarter finals or semi final) and have the actual Japan national team incorporate Blue Lock players to win the world cup or at minimum get get 2nd. (highest place Japan has made it to is round of 16 at the WC)

I 100 percent disagree with ur statement about haikyu lol their is better character development with haikyu idk why u guys saying tht just because the characters are op like action isnt everything it actually feels more natural and realistic with haikyu instead they have a player like isagi who legit was a ok player and then all of a sudden he is op like wht i would give this season 8/10 they rushed him working with rin and they rushed him being on the same team as bachira like the pacing was kinda off but the battles were great and the show was suprising so its not the worse but also no the best lol i think it takes 3rd place behind haikyu and kurokos basketball

Yeah manga is definitely worth reading. Honestly the tension and artwork is much better than the anime. Like for example they rearranged and cut Shidou's entrance here in the show, which kinda killed some of the tension.

Haikyuu is better than blue for me as well. But they’re not wrong that it gets it’s very hype moments in specific episodes while blue lock does it almost every episode. But some people don’t understand the difference is Haikyuu was made for the sole purpose to teach people about volleyball through anime and get people interested while blue lock is just strikers trying to overcome eachother to be the best striker

That world 5 match was not only a reality check to them but also to the viewer/reader in a way. In the manga, the shots and games were so dramatic and visually amazing that some people, including myself, thought people like rin and nagi were actually high pro level. This match was essentially like "nah they got some ways to go lol"

What I loved more is that since u guys don't really know much about football you got really hype on different plays or laugh at some rough plays since normally in something like basketball a little poke is consider a foul. They can't have all VAs with perfect pronunciation and fluency in English either. Only Adam Blake who is from England is supposed to have a perfect British accent (while they failed to do so, at least his pronunciation and fluency is the best out of them 5). The other players all have accents, but they just can't replicate those. And on top of that, it is not a requirement for a seiyuu/ Japanese VA to have perfect English, their voice acting ability is the most important thing. I'm not saying that they can't find teachers with good English or foreigners who are also VAs in Japan, but they are much rarer to encounter than you think.

actually the goalie for team Z did make it to the second selection, he teamed up with Kuon (i think) and Zantetsu but the reason they didnt make it is im guessing when Nagi, Barou, and Chigiri lost the people they played were them, which is why they have Zantestu added to the team

The JET program is internationally known and funded by the Japanese government. If I can find people who participate in this program on YouTube, it shouldn't be hard for people with actually money to do something so simple, that could make a profound difference. Accents are one thing but that was just laughable. As fans, we can criticize this near flawless show for this. They obviously didn't lack the budget, and honestly, out of the billion native English speakers - even if the creators were tight on funds, someone would've met those needs. I even follow a few English speakers who do Japanese voice acting on Insta. It's not as rare as you make it out to be, my friend.
