Pretty sure Sheera's wrong, cuz weren't all the soldiers half-dead, missing limbs and bleeding out whenever she healed them?

Mason

I haven’t watched what sheera was talking about yet but what the ability does is it heals anybody who’s near death back to perfect shape physically

Smash Bran'Discootch

I dunno man, Sheera has that Tendo Guess Monster style; it's either 120: "The flag is to protect him from the fire" or it's 0: "Is that a puppet?" I don't know for sure myself so I'm just gonna go with what she's sayin'?

itzsheera

But she literally said in the episode that if she wasn’t there to heal some of them then they would have just survived with their injuries

Destiney Marie

I think Sheera is right because in the beginning Yosano said that she can only use her ability on people who were close to death (hence why she would injure someone more if there injures weren’t severe enough.) But, in the flashback she was definitely treating people whose injuries weren’t fatal. Like that one guy she became close with that she refused treating until Mori shot him. Which means she can treat non-fatal injuries. It’ll probably get confirm next week though😭.

The official wiki says her ability allows her to heal all external wounds as long as they are fatal or the person must be "half-dead" or near death. Kudos to Sheera tho, her memory should be a special ability in itself

Victoria Edward

It has to be fatal or near death to activate, thats why the people in the agency don't want to healed by her when they have minimal injuries. She'll injure the first for it to activate

Kirby745i

I'm pretty sure they just have to reach a certain injury threshold. Like the guy missing a leg could have lived, albeit with no leg, but he was considered injured enough for her ability to work on him. For example, remember when Mori shot that guy? At the beginning of that scene, Mori said he had a radial fracture, sounded happy, and told Yosano to heal him. A fractured arm is definitely not a life-threatening injury, which makes me believe it's a threshold. Paper cut? Scrape? Light cuts and bruises? No healing. Injury of a certain threshold (not sure what the threshold is) works. Also, this is just a theory, but I think Yosano might brutally injure the Agency members before healing them on purpose so that the pain reminds them to not totally rely on her healing for everything little thing, to make sure they protect themselves and aren't treating their own lives as disposable.

Seraph_Dalgon_

I mean the condition for the ability to work is that they have to be half-dead. All the soldiers were getting brutally injured (i.e. losing limbs and getting vivisected) thus fulfilling that condition. Soldiers surviving such wounds aren't uncommon, you see irl soldiers capable of surviving wounds that have left them without limbs and the like. She could heal them cuz they met her condition of being half-dead but if she wasn't there and they got proper medical attention in time they could've also survived and been sent home.

DatKid_Kaneki

for u to always be talking about bungo on the twitter u guys keep missing references😡😡😭😭😭😭⁉️‼️⁉️

Brandi

they have to be severely injured. like someone said whenever an agency member has an injury that needs to be healed, she is seen strapping them to a table to physically harm them more before healing. but as she mentioned they are only physically, if someone is mentally broken she cannot fix that.

Hello

So sheera is right. A lot of people have theorized that 1. It is more of a mental barrier that keeps her from just healing people a lot (aka due to trauma she subconsciously only uses the ability when people are near death) 2. Or what sheera said It would make sense if she just placed the rule on herself and lied about it cause the only people that would know are fukazawa (president) and rampo who both would stay quit know she only does that for her own mental health and so people would value themselves AND to keep her from being sought out by other organizations. The only other person who knows is Mori who actively seeks her out.

Kami_Psy

I think this might've been my personal favorite episode of the season

Henderson C

I noticed you guys have Vivy's fluorite eye song in your intro but never watched it. I bet you guys would really like it

Ginger Dwarf

I think the near death thing is a self limit. Cause she definitely was just healing people in the war with no issue.

Devin B

What Sheera said does make a lot of sense but then I have to question why does Yosano injure the members of the Armed Detective Agency to use her ability on them cause everyone in the agency is afraid to get healed by her cause Yosano actually injures them more before using her ability on them. I can only think that maybe she does that to make it more believable to herself that she can only heal people near death. Either way great episode and great theory by Sheera.

Wrëck

Y’all gotta start looking at the playlists lol

Alex

maybe she does it so they don't think of her healing as a quick reset to be able to do stupid shit with. like if i knew that doing smth would wound me but the healer would beat my ass after in order to heal me, then i would reconsider if that pain is worth it or not.

Devin B

@Alex true, basically she goes that far to convince herself and the others that her ability is a last resort kind of thing

YoungSalsa

Bungo Stray Dogs: If everyone’s ability is OP, then no one’s is

Justin Neason

This was a deep ass episode but also.. Mori is creepy af with the loli shit. This man Mori been weird off jump

Arc

Sheera is right - seems like Yosano nerfed herself, just like Rampo. Which would make sense since he is the one who gave her hope.

A.D.Z

Yosano who was kinda nobody to me in this anime just became one of my favorite character and Double W for Rampo that guy is too good

What Sheera is saying is true, at the beggining she was introduce with something like "she can only heal when you are near death" so it makes a lot of sense like "value ur life"

love this episode and sheera's theory makes sense but that's not it. The hard restriction to Yosano's ability is tthey have to be severyly injured or near death. All of the previous seasons she's maintained the restriction like you guys pointed out by injuring the agency even more. sheeragan reaching a little this time. Also the thing with the soldiers going back home cause of injuries, shes saying that because of those severe injuries they could just go back home and not have to be subject of the literal brain numbing experience that is her ability and going back to war again. The immortal army is only immortal in body not mind.

MayvaAva

Then how did she heal the people on the boat who weren’t near death? Like people with leg fractures and such? Her changing the rules (and bending her rules by making people near death herself if she has to), really feels like the only explanation, unless the ability itself changed its rules to be more restrictive but has that ever happened before and is that not more of a reach than just, she changed her own rules.

i think sheera is right. When Mori was checking the guy Yosano became close with he only had a broken arm and Mori told her to heal him. She refused because he wouldve been able to discharge due to it instead of going to the front line and coming back 2 hours later just to do it again. However Mori then forced her to do it in a life or death situation instead by shooting bro. I think she can still heal anything (not mental) but shes choosing to only treat fatal things.

Random Guy

It's really nice reference coz the real life author Yosano Akiko also hated the war. Her book thou shalt not die was a poem for her brother not to throw his life away for a country who seems to be eager to sacrifice its people.

Kwaku Afari

I love how Mori can fool around, act silly and then have an immediate straight face and start talking business. Always has a plan even in silly moments. Also I think I like Yosano's backstory the most so far.
