I'm not gonna blame Danny too much for assuming Johnny beat up on those kids for no reason cause 1. The kid probably made it sound like him and his friends were the victims and 2. Given Johnny's past and how he was when Danny saw him at the dealership Danny probably assumed he attacked them to relieve stress or whatever but he definitely shouldn't have accused him of doing that for no reason.

Just get ready. Whenever Daniel and Johnny interact with one another, their problem solving process reverts to the level of a high school kid. It's very slow, but with time, they slowly start acting like the 50+ year old men they are supposed to be. It's kind of necessary to make the show work. However, they generally behave more like reasonable adults when interacting with pretty much anybody else.

Its crazy how you guys are really trying to see Danny as the bad guy lol. You do realize that a teenage boy thats friends with his daughter just told him that a grown ass man with a high level of martial arts just beat up him and his other teenage friends. Also last time he saw Johnny he's was still an asshole and he hasn't really changed at all. Daniel is literally doing what any decent person would. Also Johnny's kid just spoke the truth with I mean if your a trash parent your a trash parent.

Keep in mind the teenage guy trying to bang your daughter may not be the most reliable source of information. However Johnny's past in this case happened to make it more reliable. As seen here however, he left out the relevant parts of bullying someone and possibly damaging the car of the guy who beat the shit of you. EDIT: Also, I totally forgot that Kyler also pushed him first when Johnny was warning them not to fuck with him.

You guys need to watch Karate Kid 2 and 3 or you'll miss parts of the story that reference them. Yes, Karate kid had 2 sequels and a spin-off movie but that one isn't relevant yet.

theres plenty of video essays going into how Daniel is a ass in both this series and the past movies, so idk why its so out there for people in the comment section to hear early on lol. i guess people really dont like having someone challenge their perception of a character

Yeah even as a kid I thought Daniel came off as cocky and hot headed, it's the fact that he had mr miyagi by his side that calmed down those personality traits. I love the way the show was aware of that and made Daniel a flawed human along with Johnny.
