My issue with those comments from the last episode is that at this point in the show in order to see anything good coming from lakan you must know what's to come. Basically spoilers. Or not, just my opinion.

I understand Maomao not wanting to get involved at the beginning. This seems like a very high level conspiracy with a lot of very powerful people. I’m not sure I want to get involved with those. But it seem her curiosity and her sense of wanting things solved got the better of her by the end she got involved. Yep I was also shocked when they announced Suirei's death. I was very sad because she was such an interesting character. I didn’t expect the twist that came afterward that she faked her death. Even more interesting. 🤯 And the guy that announced Suirei death is he stupid or just pretending? The oh well case solved. What? That was far from solved. This is beyond clever organised all that and befriend the doctor so he would not cut her up. 🤯 🤣Maomao laughing hysterically then, sorry could you have my leg restitch 🤣 I think Jinshi doesn't want to believe that he’s the emperor's son so he keeps telling himself it’s a delusion. I think deep down he knows it but keeps denying it to himself. After Episode Why killed Jinshi? It got me thinking. It’s only pure speculation. They introduce the new consort in this episode as having a very powerful father. And right now the emperor doesn’t have a son, only a daughter. Now if they want to position the new consort son to be as the next emperor Jinshi can become a problem if all the swap were to be known. Also it will create a new problem with Gyokuyō becoming pregnant. Will they want to get rid of her son to be as well or her? But it would be difficult since she seems to be the emperor's favorite. I do think the show is setting up Jinshi and Maomao together but I don’t know how it will happen, it seems like the circumstances are so much against it right now. Ok Take Care 😋
