she doesn't know what she is missing. But it does require a commitment and its not for everyone. one piece has a lot of lore and information build up that makes special moments impactful. not everyone has the patience to sit and watch a show if someone is not fighting ever other episode not to mention the older animation. would I recommend it, of course! I seen all the big 3 and one piece is there for a reason. funny enough one piece is not longest anime out there its just the most popular one. I notice she said its nice having a long steady show on the channel and I though one piece would be your best friend and its trending lol!

You can watch the opening after this season ends each season has a different opening also don’t know if notice it but iishin last name is shiba one of the 4 great noble families which also means yes ichigo and ganjo are cousins and why ichigo and kaian looked so much alike they are related.

To answer your other question: Zanpakuto are closely related to one's soul. To get a Zanpakuto (well, after you're given an Asauchi - a blank slate) you have to imprint your soul onto the blade. This can take dozens or hundreds of years to do it fully. It's done when the Soul Reaper constantly pours their reiatsu into the blade. This process is what creates the Zanpakto, which then evolves into the Shikai and Bankai forms. What's more, the powers associated with your Zanpakto is based on that and is said to differ for everyone. The Soul Reaper essentially has to 'know thyself" in order to use Bankai. Its both a physical and spiritual process of reflection , growth and improvement. It also requires one to confront their true nature. As such that's why Oetsu Nimaiya couldn't really forge a sword for Ichigo. If he did so prior to Ichigo understanding who he really was, it would just break again when Ichigo needed it most. P.S. : Echt Quincy is a term that means "pure blood" , essentially Ishida's father, Ryuken, wanted to marry Masaki to keep their bloodline pure Quincy. This was especially important to them due to the Quincy extermination of previous years. I believe they were distant cousins or something in reality, but I don't think they were all that close with one another.

yeaaaaa the oh-etsu hate on this video is insaneeeee. It's not that he can't help ichigo, it's just ichigo needed to know the origin of his powers before he could help him. And by definition, Ichigo would be considered a fake soul reaper

Unohana wasn’t 100% killing kenpachi, She’d get him to the threshold/brink of death and then heal his wounds just enough to bring him back to consciousness. Her healing capability isn’t as good as squad zero or orihime but it is top notch still. Also the healing is just another form of kido

Fun fact: Unohana's Shikai and Bankai both share the same name, "Minazuki". However, the kanji used to write them are different. The kanji used to write her shikai (the healing manta ray) translate to "Flesh Drops Gorge". However, the characters used for her bankai trainslate to "All things End". Also, in the manga the Unohana v Kenpachi fight started BEFORE Ichigo and Renji's training and ended approximately the same time. That means Unohana was continually killing and reviving Kenpachi for 3 days straight lol.

Also you gotta remember oetsu may seem like a dumbass but he’s older than probably all the other 13 courts (minus Yama and unohana) put together. He may seem cold, but ichigo is a pretty big dumbass when it comes to soul reaper stuff lmao. He never truly forged a bond with zangetsu and constantly just.. doesn’t talk to him. Notice how he hasn’t called for him this whole season. And masaki and ishida’s dad would be like DISTANT ass relatives. I wouldn’t even consider them relatives. That’d be like saying all Irish are related

I agree he needs to know his origins. What I don’t agree with is the way he went about it. Too round about when he could have been more direct and to the point. You don’t really have time to go on a whole journey of self discovery imo. Just tell him he needs to figure out his true lineage and that his dad can tell him and send him on his way. Why waste time with training you know wouldn’t work? Because he needed to see for himself it wouldn’t work? Nah. He would have believed you if you told him it wouldn’t work. He’s done everything he’s been told thus far. I mean he ate the food, rested in the spring, and went down into the pit didn’t he? I just don’t see a good enough reason for misleading him. And calling him a fake? He may mean it literally like you aren’t a true soul reaper because you never truly knew yourself but (to me at least) the way he said it was derogatory and insulting. He didn’t need to say it with that connotation. He could have said it more matter of factly. Like, get to know your true self and you will forge and even greater bond than before! Be more optimistic and inspiring! Not all doom and gloom and patronizing. Like this kid is already feeling like a failure and you decide to kick him while he’s down? It’s just cruel to me. Especially when all of soul society (including oh-Etsu) is depending on him to save them. Like damn. Coulda been nicer about it. That’s all I’m saying.

It’s not a situation that could be solved with a direct answer like that. Yea he doesn’t have time, but that is the only way ichigo has to get stronger, since zanpakto’s deal with the connection to your soul. He needed to go through that training to realize that he doesn’t have a strong connection to zanpakto’s as Ichigo thought since he didn’t obtain it the traditional way. A coach can’t help its player until he sees its faults which is what oh etsu did

Fair I guess. I can’t really think of another way that really shows him how little he really knows himself other than maybe just telling him your father has been lying to you your entire life so if you don’t know who you are/where you come from, your connection to your sword isn’t as true a bond as it could or should be. Throwing him down there illustrates the point better or at least with more impact. So for the sake of storytelling I can see why they went that route. I still don’t like the way he spoke to him given he’s always gone out of his way to help them without asking for anything in return and he’s your greatest asset but maybe I’m too nice 😅

that’s Fair, but in all honesty he couldn’t have said “go to your father” or straight up tell him cause oh etsu doesn’t know his situation or about his father lmaoo. but in all honesty oh etsu is just a tough guy who means business which i guess could come off harsh, but it just means he’s serious about his job, especially after what just took place. thats more of a time to be serious and get down to business more than anything! i appreciate this dialogue tho!

With the way he was speaking to him it seemed to imply he knew everything hence why he knew the training wouldn’t work and why he sent him directly to his house/father. I guess not? oh yea since oh etsu is like 1000+ years old, they didn't really interact with the soul society that much since they stayed in the royal palace after they were placed in squad zero. So they don't know much about the relationships in the Soul Society after they left, which is why he worded it liken "origins" and didn't specify talking to his dad. And his origins would mean him starting in the house he's stayed in his entire life. I don't think he was specifically talking about his dad, but moreso if you had to start a self-reflection journey, any place one would begin could be there home. In all honesty I think he just sent him home to get him out the soul society until he completed his "self-reflection journey" lol

Yea I don't agree with the Oestu hate. He isn't there to baby ichigo and explain to him everything he needs to do. He was generous enough to show Ichigo he doesn't understand who he truly is and sent him home because of it. At that point ichigo is smart enough to figure out what he needs to do. No need for Oetsu to hold his hand and guide him because that's simply not his job. Ichigo can do that on his own

Yeah idk I just don’t think I’m ever going to like his character tbh… I don’t like people like that in real life. 😣 Like I just don’t treat people that coldly. 😭 I keep trying to rationalize it in my head and I hear what you’re saying but yeah I just can’t rock with this dude 😅 sorry! Like I just fundamentally disagree with his approach to people in general. Especially someone (I would say) in such an emotionally fragile state as Ichigo! But I’m also a VERY sensitive person. Like I cry over everything 🤣 so yeah I just think me and him are polar opposites when it comes to our approach to people cuz we are COMPLETELY different people! I definitely wouldn’t have made it as far as ichigo did! Love my boi! 🥰

I just don't think it matters much. Ichigo is a extremely intelligent person. He admittedly knew what to do when he was sent home so it's not like Oetsu left him to struggle. He provided him with just enough insight to figure it out for himself. In the end it's a self improvement journey and nobody can help ichigo find his own accepts of who he is. He wasn't being cold to ichigo he just knew everybody has a job to do and he doesn't have time to help ichigo work through his own inner problems.

You should probably go back and read the manga for these episodes. They sort of blitzed through a lot of content the first 2 cours to add a lot of original content in cour 3 and 4. For example, the reason why aizen cuts ishin is so that he cannot use his bankai against the hollow since his bankai takes a heavy toll on his body. This was explained in the manga
