I always find myself going off track with the side quests. I try to focus on the main story but i always end up way off track.

I just thought of a reason why Frieren went with Fern alone. If she wanted to explore all the floor before going to the lower level it might not work as a group because some would want to go down as quickly as possible and the group will fragment anyway so better on your own and allowed yourself to enjoy the dungeon instead of following everyone in a group then she also have to share the treasure .
