By the way I’m pretty blind right now. The first time I watch Bleach the Filler arc was the end of me so I drop Bleach in the middle of it. I didn’t know what filler arc was. 😅 Kenpachi 😂 it’s a transition episode so mostly comedy 😂 I don’t know the future but I think there was a history between Ichimaru and Matsumoto. To answer a few of your questions (spoiler free!): Rukia was placed into a Gigai by Urahara, with the intention of hiding the Hogkyu. His intent wasn't really malicious though, as you can expect. That reason is also related to why Rukia started to lose her reaper powers. As far as why Rukia stayed - she's a soul reaper and was always meant to return. So she just resumed her duties.

Urahara placed the hogyku inside rukia soul then he gave her a gigai that can hide her spiritual power hense. That is how soul society. Lost her. Aizen sends byakuya and renji to locate her and bring her. Back. Soul society destroys the. Gigai because its dangerous anyone who puts it on can go around killing soulreapers with out being. Sensed. Rukia doesn't recover her soulreaper powers because aizen reviels the cause is the hogyoku inside her/soul he removes it without damaging her soul. He wanted her to be executed with the weapon so her soul can be disintegrated and the only thing left behind would be the hogyoku. Now with it out of her soul its only a matter of time before she gets her powers back. I hope this clears it up.
