so far - at least as I understand it - the 2 last cases had 2 different reasons why Makishima was first interested & then was disapointed: - The VR-Killer was interesting because he could play any role perfectly (even more popular than the actual VR-entertainers), but for him it turned out that he was only so good at it because he was so bland & had almost no personailty of his own - the Art girl was pretty smart & skilled, but in contrast to her father (and the previous killer at that school), her only motive was revenge; there was no critique in her work (last killer, e.g. the "forgetful politician"), nor some deeper philosophy (like her father, who made grotesque art to make people think - it was almost a copy-paste of her fathers paintings

[Before episode] I’ve been kind of hard on this society in past comments but I think I’ve dialed back a notch in my reflection. Because I just can’t condone what Makishima is doing, which is just killing people. Well using other people to kill [Episode start]I believe Makishima and the other teacher are different people. I think he was just another pawn of Makishima. For now he doesn't do anything directly. He only finds people that produce the tools to help other people to do the crime.

[Why kill them.] I think killers, well serial killers of innocent people I mean like this girl are not quite sane. So my guess is for her the girls in this school will live boring lives so with her they can get integrated into “beautify” art which in her opinion make them bloom. Yep not quite sane [Where the killer gets the body out] Yes they told us last episode there are parts of the school that are completely forgotten and not in the current blueprint.

[Kogami and his deduction] I think what he saying is the original has a lot more hidden message in the murder than this one. Maybe because she is younger. Also he has less of a message. [Kogami asking permission to go out] 😋 Clever. I don’t think anybody else would have let him out. Since he is officially out of the case. [Back in the day, even if the art was designated harmful, someone would still preserve it in the online archives] 🤔 It’s a hard topic because those are art of dismembered people. And there were actual murder. And I don’t even want to go any further into other sick things that should be prohibited. But now everything is erase so they didn’t know about the name of the original artist, the father of the girl murderer.

[Kogami going into the school] The students being scared of men. Well you are interrogated by the police and then you see an old man in a trench coat underneath it. 😂 Ok ok I don’t think they would get the reference but 🤣 One thing with their system is that the Sybil is a judge, advocate and executioner. So just point the gun and shoot. No trial, no having to find proof of wrongdoing. If the girls wasn’t the actual killer but just another random psychopath then oh well one less in the school even if you don’t get to the root of the problem. In a way even if they had killed the girl you’re no closer to Makishima the real mastermind behind all this.

[Makishima] Well he’s not the direct murderer they already have the culprit which is the girl. Nobody suspects him. He doesn’t need to escape. [Makishima phone call to the girl] Well he’s quoting Shakespeare again. It's from Titus Andronicus. The play they were talking about last episode. I’m not even going to try to understand it. 😅 [Makishima finding a new toy] First thing Lex say is who Kogami 😋👍

[After episode discussion] I don’t understand any of the reference Makishima was making at the end with the pity and Shakespeare play that is beyond me for now. Did she enjoy the entertainment? Maybe she did. Makishima told her did you know why you disappointed me?'' If you didn’t you can’t reflect on it. I’m not sure I get why she disappointed him but maybe she wasn’t just clever enough. I’m a bit lost here. Yea like you I don’t get Makishima. In the end it will make a more interesting show with a complex villain. It’s better than a simple villain with a simple goal like just destroying the system and nothing beyond that. I like Akane covering for Kougami. Say hi to Ray 👋 Very interesting episode. And insightful review. 👍 That it for me Take care. 😋
