God I love Schneizel, he deliberately threw that game so he can get into Zero's mind, brilliant. I believe it's more than finding out whether Zero is nice or not, Schneizel figured out that Zero is a very prideful person and would let it get in the way of victory, that's awfully dangerous for your opponent to figure out especially when you're at war with them..

With Nina, I know it's hard to like her. However I always think of her attitude as the result of society's impact on her. Basically she didn't acquire the skills to critically judge something and bought in on the whole propaganda by Britannia. It's pretty sad :( Regarding this show being progressive. I totally agree! But it's kinda sad that this 14 year old show is still considered progressive today. It means that those things it includes and points out still aren't reality in our world, even in Western countries

And yeah Schneizel doesn't know it's him. And if I were him I wouldn't really consider Zero to be someone who (as far as I know) died 7 years ago. Also, I think you got much better at analyzing the "political" topic in this show :)

So I definitely agree that Nunnally's supervisor was what u would call a stereotypical Brittannian if that makes sense but she did mention how they can't just let a million laborers leave the country but it could also be argued that was just a front and that's not what she truly believes

Just a clarification: I don't think Xingke was trying to break anyone out of prison. He was healing inmates, bringing medicine to them, and that's what confused Tianzi. She didn't understand why Xingke would be punished for helping condemned prisoners the same way she gets medical help. That's why Tianzi states "he was doing something good, he shouldn't be punished for it."

I hated Lelouch so much back then when i watched for that move with Empress...

this she thought it was wrong to punish someone for saving lives, no matter if they were criminals or not...in that scene, she looks more humane & morally than all the other chinese leaders combined
