It hasn't actually been explicitly touched upon in the 13 volumes of the LN that are out so far but it is highly implied that the six great gods were indeed players. As is also alluded to by the things they left behind like the rubix cube. That girl playing with the rubix cube wasn't the one who mind-controlled Shalltear but the reason he thinks she is stronger is because she is a descendant of one of the six great gods. Looks like someone's in-game character had their reproductive organs still lol. The lady talking to the dragon is referring to a different girl who you will meet later, not the rubix cube girl. "Awww, she's so cute!" .... yeah, she is. Hunting that basilisk was a job request from the adventurer's guild. As you can see they're still just showing things at random without any explanation... They're not married, Albedo is just roleplaying and Ainz didn't want to hurt her feelings. I've said so much already, I'll just end it here and leave it to someone else to clear up the rest of the questions.

The Platinum Dragon Lord remotely controlled the armor in order to move around in humanoid form. He deceived the old lady friend, and she has been holding on to this grudge for 200 years. The dragonlord(s) summoned people from Yggdrasil to get their hands on the treasures people from Yggdrasil bring, not realizing it is a game. This caused players to arrive in different centuries. There is no way the creepy girl Zesshi Zetsumei is stronger than Shalltear. Shalltear is designed as a raid boss. Fun fact: Zesshi's father was the Elf King, who kidnapped and raped her mother, a God kin (aka WMD trump card for a nation) from the Slane Theocracy. Her mother gave birth to her after being rescued. Zesshi hates her father with a passion because of this.

Most of what you said isn't from the Light Novel (AFAIK, at least, it hasnt been said on the LN that it was the dragonlords that summoned players, though I suppose I could've missed it). Is it from the Web Novel? They are vastly different

I agree shalltear would probably stomp out zesshi, but I’d love to see the platinum dragon vs ains. That hasn’t happened yet in the light novel or web novel right ?

Yes the Dragonlords didn't like the players, and they want to get their hands on Yggdrasil treasures. These two facts do not contradict.
