This upload took me by surprise, I'm late to the party. Most dramatic branch break ever, hahaha. Snap them twigs you angry skeleton. Fun fact from the LN, Ainz is capable of casting, and has completely memorized, over 700 spells. Can't wait for the conclusion.

Great reaction! shalltear is really strong and on top of that she is designed to be the perfect counter to ainz (is a “joke” made by peroroncino, since she is also in love with everything about ainz, since momonga and peroroncino were good friends in Yggdrasil) so in a nutshell if we look at this logically - His best friend peroroncino was dicking around by making someone like shalltear and basically almost got ains killed if it weren’t for those other items he had to borrow haha.

As golem-like constructs, they nearly had identical resistances and immunities like the undead." - so she basically made a double of herself minus some equipment/spells/skills.

Ainz must be saving his skill [The Goal of All Life is Death] to counter Shalltear's trump card. It kills everything in an area. And no, I don't think it also kills Ainz. Ainz also used widen magic [Cry of the Banshee] to increase the area affected. Notice the aftermath, everything in the area is dead, including bacteria, leaving only sand. Those sticks in Ainz's waist are not watches. Since the anime already showed writings on them, let's just say they are items Ainz "borrowed" from his former guild mates.

Aura and Mare are there in case an enemy player who mind-controlled Shalltear showed up, and Aura can surveil the area using her Ranger abilities. They are carrying some very powerful World Items. The giant scroll on Aura's back is called Depiction of Nature and Society. They are paintings that can swap the topography of an area in the real world, and trap anyone inside the paintings. The gauntlets Mare wears are called Avarice and Generosity. Avarice stores experience points from enemies killed, and Generosity lets the user siphon those EXP to fuel EXP-costing skills and spells. Having World Items would prevent the user from being affected by enemy World Items, so Aura and Mare are not vulnerable to the mind control effect.

The mist form was an Astral form, meaning the person becomes non-physical. This is why Ains used Astral Smite, an Astral attack, because any physical attacks wouldn't work on an Astral Being.

Well, as others already explained, Shalltear's skillset is more or less a counter to Ainz' abilities; even after she used all her skills and MP-based abilities, her melee skills still remain, + she can drain her targets' HP. With her durability & holy magic the deck is stacked pretty heavily against him, so he had to plan his moves & her reactions very carefully to still have a chance to win...I like the next episode even more than this one, brings out the strategist in him 😎 EDIT: and yeah, it was a huge info-dump, I think without beeing a huge fantasy nerd and/or manga reader you're not expected to understand everything right away, felt stupid after first watching it as well 😛

Actually Ains used so many skills not because he was weaker than her but due to their roles in combat. Shalltear is a frontline bruiser type who is also tanky and has life steal in a sense while Ain's main role in pvp if any is to use high tier ranged magic while positioned in the back with his allies in the front. So in order to compensate for the distance and possibility of CQC, he has to take precautions since he takes the fight with shalltear as if it is a PVP... Also the skill "The goal of all life is death" doesn't hurt Ains at all...

Tbh, I don't know. It's just not something that is typically taught to us culturally as children. I'm pretty sure just about every child who wears shoes would wear their shoes inside if their parents never told them not to. It's just that in most other cultures their parents tell them not to. I stopped wearing shoes inside in middle school when I started to gain exposer to other cultures and I realized that it made more sense to leave them on the porch or just inside the doorway. One of my aunts has 7 children and none of them even wear shoes when they're outside so I'm certain it has to do with parenting, and the parenting comes from culture.

um as an American I never wear shoes inside the house and have never met anyone who does, she said she was wearing them because she was trying to get out the wrinkles but that doesn't mean she wears them inside all the time. The only times I see people wear shoes in the house is if someone is having a house party that is both inside and outdoors, they just keep their shoes on so they can move between the outside area and inside area whenever they want without having to put their shoes back on whenever they go outside.
