That's what I thought, because logically you would assume those nanobots decided to become their own Watermelon being, since that's what she was turning into, and manifested as her copy.

I thought after the Dairy Queen incident, they left the nanobots inside Mel since they basically became one with her. And the last we ever saw of them was with Toy King. When Mel managed to with stand being shot in her boobs. Now thinking on it, I'm assuming they are still there. And might play a part in this new story.
