Remember her?

And so concludes this chapter of Passing Love! It's been quite a ride for me... can you believe I originally figured this chapter would be a breezy 30 pages? Somewhere in the beginning I wanted to take this in a more slow-paced, semi-serious tone, and so we find ourselves in a much more complicated situation with these characters than I first envisioned. I think everyone is a very interesting place, and ripe for more juicy development in the next chapter.

I hope you enjoyed this comic, and look forward to the next one! Thanks a million for your support over the past few years!

Congrats on finally completing the comic! For me, aside from the great art that you make, your work also touches upon a subject that very few creatives have been able to do justice, which is the intersection between blunt, raw queerness and the whirlwind that is young adult masculine sexuality, particularly in relation to the 2000s heteronormative culture that we once lived in (and still do, for that matter). You have truly ascended from the usual niches of porn and have characterization skills that would even put some mainstream media to shame. Your college dudes only feel alive, but also embodies the specific cultural circumstances and essence of that bygone era. It wouldn’t be a stretch to say that your comics are a on-going tribute to that generation of youth and their confusing, complicated, beautiful queer experiences, perhaps the same one you went through. Thank you for treating those experiences with the dignity, respect and sincerity it had always deserved, but are rarely given. Ironically, youth is one of the most fundamental touchstones in our cultural consciousness, yet it’s often dismissed and demonized for everything it can’t be. We lust for youth, but despise the reality of youth. History has not been very kind to the youth within us that lived and passed away, especially young adults exploring their queerness, and I am glad to see media that unabashedly celebrates and are empathetic towards queer sexuality in all of its glory and flaws. People like Travis, Joe and even Dennis are only human, after all. A part of what makes art so impactful is that it’s ability to encapsulate the humanity behind our history. Maybe when queer people, or any young people, read your work decades later, when the world had transformed beyond our comprehension, they can feel and value your characters, and in turn, have a bit more kindness towards their own youth as well.

This story gripped me way more than I thought it would. Intended to be a short subscription, but dang. I'm a sucker for character stories. Next project is something else now yeah, not chapter 3?

Meesh

Thank you for staying on as long as you did! The next comic will be something else, but then I will go back to PL3 afterwards.

Thank you Meesh, it was a really intense chapter. Thank you so much for the dedication and for the art you poured into it. I'll see you in the next year ;D

Great comic. Hopefully the next chapter comes soon. I know Dennis is a asshole character in this, but damn he’s fucking hot 🥵🐻 hopefully we get to see the bear naked one more time 😏 Happy new year 🎊

Knew that was Marilyn smoking and not Joe. But this is way better than I was expecting: I was afraid the last shot would be Joe, dressed and down at his car, rushing outta there in a panic. Even if that’s in fact what happened, having it wrap up with the uncertainty is great, in that we’re reminded this is a story of real characters in a world that’s very real to them. Meese, it’s been an amazing journey so far, with superb writing, artistry and heart. Have a well deserved Happy New Year, and thanks so much for years of delivering the best furry story out there!

Can't wait to see what the future holds! Meesh you're definitely an all time favorite artist of mine, and this comic is an excellent example why.

UnDrewsual

Aw damn, I’d forgotten her. Got so caught up I forgot that Joe was actually cheating on his gf.

Is there a place where you can see all the pages easily?

Was Covid-19 a thing when chapter two started out?

Wow I can’t believe it’s been 70 pages! Crazy, great work!

Your comment has had me reeling since I first read it, and I've been trying to come up with some sort of response! I'm not used to being praised in such a way. I've done my best to make these characters feel real in the timeframe that they live in, and that anyone would resonate with the characters in such a way as you have described is incredibly gratifying. I would be over the moon if my work stayed relevant decades into the future. Thank you very much for your analysis, and I will try to make the next chapter as entertaining and meaningful.
